It's Friday, which means it's once again time to join Friday Smiles, hosted by Annie (at A Stitch in Time). Let's visit Annie and the other wonderful ladies who also share their smiles each Friday.
But the plant that hurts me the most is my beloved rosemary that I have nurtured for four years and it died in a WEEK's time from not getting water when I hurt my arm. I just keep hoping there will be bits of it that will survive.
But we are here for smiles, not frowns. Let's turn to a bit of cat humor.
And finally one that hits a bit close to home for us in the states:
Please join Bleubeard and me at Friday Smiles. It goes without saying, but we will anyway, please start your weekend with a big huge smile.

Sorry about your poor herbs, hope you can save some. Nice cat funnies! Hugsy, Valerie
So sorry your herbs are wilting. It is a shame someone didn't do the watering for you. I am not too optimistic about your rosemary. I have had a few bushes over the years, but have never managed to keep one for more than a few years.
You found a lot of funnies this week, and most of them did raise a smile.
I hope your arm is continuing to improve so you can get back to doing some gardening soon. Kate x
I am so sorry about your herbs. Loved the funnies and am not going to show them to our boys in case they learn a few more tricks. I do hope your poor arm/shoulder is getting better.
You must be feeling quite sad about the herb plants. That's the only problem with plants in pots they need lots of care. I am sure some of them will pop back up again. Loving the cat funnies just don't know where you find them all. Woever wrote them certainly knows cats. Wishing you a happy weekend. Hugs, Angela xXx
Sorry to see your herbs are suffering...I hope your arm recovers very soon so you are able to give them some love. Your cat funnies are brilliant. Keep smiling.
Hugs,
Annie x
...two nights ago we had a frost, I'm glad that I hadn't planted yet. You must be the queen of cat humor!
It’s very sad that your herb garden is so devastated. I hope you manage to replace the ones that didn’t make it.
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
How annoying (and sad) that your herbs haven't survived. Couldn't one of your neighbours have watered for you?
Your cat funnies got me giggling. Especially the 'songs' with words that hit true. Really funny.
I hope your arm continues to improve.
Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca
Poor herbs. Thanks for the smiles
Poor herbs. I hope they make a comeback. Lots of kitty smiles. I hope you and Sally are feeling better
OH your poor rosemary. That makes me sad because I never have luck with rosemary. In fact I bought a new plant this year and it's already died on me. I hope you can salvage your herbs, and have a good weekend. hugs-Erika
Will we now have a Throw-up-Thursday instead of T-Day???
I watch the same movie every Christmas also!
My basil hopefully recovers - good luck to your plants!
I am very sad that your herbs are suffering, but perhaps you could save some of them. I hope you are feeling better, and that your arm is now well.
Thanks so much for the smiles, I like very much the cat author jaja.
I wish you a very nice weekend and send big hugs
Caty
The funnies make me smile but I really feel your pain at losing that fabulous rosemary plant. It had to be a stunner. Hopefully the rest of the herbs will revive - they sometimes can be very resilient.
Thanks for the funnies. They made me smile:D
Sorry to hear about your herbs, and sorry for not visiting much lately Elizabeth.
Take care of that arm.
Alison
I was laughing so much at some of the funnies that I almost forgot about your poor herbs. Most will probably pick up if you cut them back. Cut off as much Rosemary as you can till you see green in the stem and keep watering everything- then cross you fingers - on your good hand of course! I have often thought I had killed off plants only to see them revive..it's always worth a try, Big hugs, Chrisx
This past winter killed off my rosemary, and I've decided not to replace it. I thought my lavender was dead, but patience revealed some surviving shoots :)
Sorry about your herbs, these things happen when we are unwell and can't tend to them. I'm sure your herbs will look amazing again, you are a fab gardener 😊. Such great funnies too. Happy wishes! Hugs, Jo x
