T Stands For Mugs, Mugs, Mugs

 

 On a recent trip to The Spice Merchant,

these mugs caught my eye.

 

I'm not seeing much of a theme here.

 

Maybe it's the shape 

 

that makes them stand out.

  

I'm not sure that square shape would entice me to warm my hands on one of those mugs on a cold morning.

 

However, the kokopelli really caught my eye.  In case you didn't know, Kokopelli is a fertility deity used by some Native American cultures in the southwestern United States, often depicted as a humpbacked flute player with feathers or antenna-like protrusions on his head.

Puzzles and accompaniments T

 

My sincere apologies.  I am still very sick.  I thought it was food poisoning, but no one else who went to breakfast with me got sick.  And if it was food poisoning, it would or should have passed by this morning (Monday).  I promise to visit everyone who visited me on Sunday and for T Tuesday.  However, I fear I'll be a bit slow visiting.

Please come with me to The Spice Merchant today, where I show a few different things this week. 

I found a few items that can be used in conjunction with your coffee (or tea).  There are generic pods for machines that use them.  Fill them with your favorite brew and enjoy.

 

For those of you who have an espresso machine, you might need an extra container for the milk.

 

Of course, you might also need espresso mugs, a milk frother, a double espresso tamper, reusable coffee filters, coffee spoons, or even clips to store your coffee.

 

I know Lisca and a few others of you enjoy puzzles.

T Stands For Ty's

 

 Today we're out and about.

After running a few errands last week, my foodie friend Sally took me to a new-to-me place to eat.  It's an original "greasy spoon."  According to my search assist:  

A greasy spoon is a small, cheap restaurant (often serving lots of fried food) that typically offers quick, simple meals. It’s also used as slang for a no-frills place known for basic food.

Note that a greasy spoon serves a lot of fried food.  This is the menu.  It can't be removed from the wall, even though it appears others have tried.  Everything here is fried.  Note the table top.  Exactly like a boomerang pattern I have seen in 1950s magazines.

Do you see the sign in the back advertising Mountain Dew is sold there?

 

I ordered large french fries and onion rings.  The waitress asked if I was sure I wanted large.  She even brought out the brown basket and showed me how much larger it was.  I said "YES, Please."  Note my water with lemon and Sally's water in the background.  You can also see Sally's onion rings.

 

The basket is so large, I couldn't get it in one shot.  I assure you, those are home style fries, not from a bag.  And yes, that is grease.  Heart attack in the making.

 

There were less onion rings, but they were also homemade.

T Stands For Moose And More

 

Today I'm back at The Spice Merchant for T Tuesday.  I'm actually not here (or at The Spice Merchant).  I'm babysitting four cats while a friend has surgery.  She left her iPad and gave me the password to her desktop computer.  If all goes well, I'll be by to visit each of you who drop by in the next few days.

As I was walking to the back of the store to get my "free" pound of coffee, these colorful moose tea towels caught my eye.  Too bad they don't have any that are rocking horses!

 

Directly below the moose towels were these mugs I thought Nicole might enjoy.
