Winter Park

 

Bleubeard and I are here with a final entry for our recycle, reuse, repurpose theme we are hosting this month at Art Journal Journey.  I actually had hoped I wouldn't have to share this, but I didn't have time to make anything newer.

You don't have to tell me.  I KNOW this is a lousy photo.  Bleubeard and I named it Winter Park.

This is what happens when your pink Posca pen potties (say that three times fast with a straight face).

 

I didn't intend for this to take on a Christmas theme, but the pages just took over and I somehow allowed it to happen.

I got tired of looking at fuzzy photos, so I scanned parts of both pages.

The book is too large to get the entire spread in one scan.  This is the left side.  I like the colors of this, too.  Much closer to the colors of the page.  This spread was created in my Stress Free altered book.

 

Everything on this page was repurposed or recycled. I got the map several years ago when I took a trip to Florida (USA).  The green background paper was cut from some I made previously using 12 inch square originally white scrapbook paper.  The Christmas paper and ribbon were left from a spread I created for Christmas last year.  The same is true for the geometric design paper.  The postcard and Yuletide images shown below were cut from an old magazine.

The right side contains a dry embossed Christmas tree and a stamped Christmas tree left over from my Christmas cards I made one year.  I tried to clean up "Winter Park" after the Posca pen leaked.

Thankfully, if you look closely enough, there were several references to Winter Park, such as Winter Park Village, Civic Center, Campus, Tech, and Country Club.

Bleubeard and I are so incredibly happy you joined us this month as we recycled, reused, and repurposed trash, junk mail, paint chip, wallpaper, and window blind samples, tea bags, corrugated cardboard, security envelopes, and postage stamps.  We hope we have given you some ideas and you look differently at what many would consider junk or trash.  

 

We also thank each and every one of you for your wonderful art you have created.  We have been blown away by your recycling efforts and creativity and for that we thank each of you.  You have NO idea how grateful we both are that you shared your recycled art and your great comments this month.
