Apples

You may know by now that Bleubeard and I are hosting Art Journal Journey this month and our themes are Collage Fodder, Food and Drink, or both.

Today is all about Apples.

I'm still having problems with Photoshop.  I can't crop properly and I can't find my watermark.  However, here are a few detail images.

This page started with a calendar page from a food calendar.  I added recipes from two different cookbooks.  The small image at the top is the "preview" image from the back of the calendar.  All of the tools came from the kitchen tool and recipe book I have been working from this month.  It's amazing the antique tool takes the place of the other three instruments I showed from the kitchen tools.

Bleubeard and I are grateful you visited today and hope to see you at Art Journal Journey with your own take on Collage Fodder, Food and Drink, or both.

  We are also joining AEDM.

I had an apple corer but was never able to get it centered or something. Didn't work very well for me. I had an easier time with the egg slicer--LOL! ;)

I have never used an apple corer - and rarely peel them either.

Oh! Great page and I need to search for my apple corer! But I never peel an apple - don´t all the vitamins sit underneath the skin or is that a fairy tale?

Mmm. Apples and fall. What a great choice. I'm sorry you are having troubles doing everything you want to do with these pictures and recipes, but the result works for me.

Those apples look so yummy. This Thanksgiving no one made or bought an apple pie. It seemed rather unThanksgiving like. But no matter. I can make one once I get past I've eaten too much this holiday stage. Anyhow, I love your apple page. I hope your Photoshop gets fixed. And have a great start to your weekend too. hugs-Erika

I love apples especially the tart Granny Smith. I have the apple corer and slicer you show on your yummy page.

My sister has a very elaborate apple parer that removes the skin and the core in one operation. I usually leave the peelings on.

A fabulous collage! Loving the apple images and recipe, it's perfect for this time of year 😊. We were pleased to harvest over a hundred apples off our trees this year and needless to say I've been making lots of spiced apple cake too - so yummy! Happy weekend! Hugs Jo x

I enjoy apples but rarely cook with them. I'd rather just eat them as they are, maybe with peanut butter or cheese and some dried fruit.
