Holiday wishes

Yesterday I said I had given you my final entry to Art Journal Journey.  I wasn't quite truthful.  I have one final, final offering for Valerie's theme at Art Journal Journey.  As I'm sure you know by now, Valerie's theme is When One Door Closes, Another One Opens.  You still have a few hours to join us with your own entry, too.

It seems I have one final holiday home to visit.

Our hostess is opening the door to welcome those bringing more gifts.

Granted, this would have been a better party at Christmas than on New Years eve, but the festivities are there all the same.

As night falls and the stars come out, Bleubeard, Squiggles, and I want to thank Valerie for her exceptional hosting skills this month.  From the journal entries she shared, to the lovely comments she left, we thank her for making this a joyous month to end the year.

The festive party is about to begin and Bleubeard, Squiggles, and I want to wish you the most joyous new year.  I sincerely hope 2022 is a better one than the last two have been.  Let's party like it's 2099!

I am fairly sure there will be no Friday Smiles this week, but I will still share a few funnies for the girls who share their smiles each Friday.  I hope you find a bit of humor as you prepare for New Year's eve.

Personally I think most of these "funnies" are depressing, but I still wish you a lovely 2022.  We can all hope 2022 will be the one to return things to a newer normal.

I had to laugh at your funnies, especially Grumpy Cat. I know they are all a bit depressing, but they are still funny.
That last one: that's me! We won't be celebrating much. I've made a traditional potato salad with beetroot and we'll have mulled wine and perhaps some Prosecco at the chimes of midnight. That's it.
Let's hope 2022 is a better year for all of us.
Happy 2022,
Keep smiling!
Hugs,
Lisca

Those funnies do seem kind of depressing, as if the writers were desperate for a new idea. I hope the New Year has better funnies!!

That is a great find for one more AJJ page. It even has an open door. Hopefully those folks aren't carrying Omicron. Smile. And your funnies are great. I'm the cat on the couch with the plate of cookies. Except my pj's have open feet. Have a wonderful last day of 2021, and Happy new year!!! Let's hope its a good one. Hugs-Erika

A great final FINAL page Elizabeth! It's just the two of us here for new year's eve, and the flipping fireworks have already started out there.
A happy new year to you and the kitties.

Another great find Elizabeth love the style of print both nostalgic and vintage giving us a glimpse of each room in that happy home. Just the two of us this year, i'll be the cat wrapped in a blanket curled up watching a movie.
Wishing you happiness and good health for 2022.. here's to a safe creative year ahead. Hugs Tracey xx

I'll try again to get a comment onto your New Years Day page but if I can't a very happy New year to you dear Elizabeth. I love the festive house here - there's a lot going on! The fireworks guy here reminds me that at 1am this morning someone near here decided to let off the loudest fireworks of the night - they were going off from about 7pm! Hugs, Chrisx
