Happy New Year

Happy New Year.  Not only is it a new year, we also have a new host at Art Journal Journey.  Please welcome my friend and co-administrator, Erika, who many of you know as BioArtGal.  Her theme this month is Let's Face It.  Any face is acceptable.  Bleubeard might even show up on a journal page this month.

This lady wants to wish you a happy new year.

She looks a bit tipsy to me.

I think she's already celebrated a bit too much, but I'm sure she will be glad to celebrate with you!

It may be cold and icy outside, but this young lady will make sure you are warm.

I actually remembered to mark the date!

For this page, I started by coloring 110 lb cardstock with azure Staz-on reinker and 91% isopropyl alcohol. Once dry, which takes mere minutes, I added the collage made of an old calendar page and an image from my stash.

Thank you ever so much for visiting today.  Erika, Chris, Valerie, Yvonne, Bleubeard, and I are delighted you joined us and hope to see you this month at Art Journal Journey with your own take on Let's Face It.

We welcome art journal pages that meet the theme requirements, altered book pages, canvases, loose or stand alone pages including fabric, and digital art.  We do not allow cards, tags, index cards, ATCs, or ATCoins, unless they are part of a journal page, and as much as we don't want to, will be forced to delete your entry.

A very Happy New Year to you, Elizabeth and certainly Bleubeard and Squiggles.

LOL, yes, that was my first thought, too, oh-oh- that lady had too much already and please, don´t fall!
And her look says she even knows it!
Love the hat.
And... no. Your card very sadly has not arrived (yet).
I hope it didn´t get lost but is just a very slow snail!

Hi Elizabeth, happy new Year. Your lady looks as if she's had a glass too many to celebrate the new year, I think a lot of people will be feeling like that today. Great idea for a journal page! Have a great day, take care, hugs, Valerie

That is fun - though between the booze and the cigarettes I suspect she won't be balancing that well for long.
A Happy and Creative New Year to you.

Happy New Year Elizabeth. Lovely first entry for Erika’s theme. I am having trouble with comments on blogs as well, it comes up with Whoops. It’s really bad on PPF,
Hugs Wendy.

Well, I think your young lady is very brave to sit on the top edge of a chair like that. I am sure she will topple over, whether she has had a drink or not, before very long.
I thought she had some kind of sticks in her hands and she was playing a merry tune on the glasses, see she has knocked one over! Now is that deliberate or not? Maybe it makes a different sound as she hits it with it being in a prone position on the table.
The party tricks some people do - and in hats too!
Hope you three had a lovely evening and my very best wishes for the new year to you all.
Love, Neet xxx

Stay safe.

Happy New Year Elizabeth. Lovely winter scene and fun vintage lady. Even if she didn't help to warm us - we would feel warmer after those drinks! Her pose is a bit scary - I am guessing she didn't stay there long! Fun first page for the new theme! Hugz

Such a pretty page, Elizabeth. I really like the calendar page you used for the collage. and that sassy vintage lady is a great way to say Happy New Year! I look forward to seeing Bleubeard on a future page. Happy New Year! It sure is going to be a different day than Christmas was, weather wise. LOL

I love your lady today. She looks like she is finishing off a wild New Years Eve before heading out on a brisk morning walk. I bet she will walk along that pretty river. Then she might come home to make some art journal pages. Smile. This is a fun way to start the month, so thanks for the smile the lady put on my face. Happy New Year to you also. I hope its a good one for you. Hugs-Erika

Gone a different way round and finally I can comment on your fabulous page! This lady has definitely had a few too many - why else would she think she was safe to perch on the chair like this. She does look as though she had a fun night out though! The river will cool her down off she falls! Happy New Year, hugs Chrisx
