T Stands for Rolodex Cards

If your T Tuesday post and your Second on the 2nd post are the same, PLEASE share it both places. We are using Inlinkz for our second look this month and Mr. Linky for today's T Tuesday post.  Second on the 2nd goes live at midnight on the 2nd.

Before we head for my craft room, I wanted to share a photo of my youngest.  Not the face of our blog, but loved just the same.  I put Squiggles on a restrictive diet this summer and he is now slim and trim.  Even his collar fits loose for a change.  When he got sick, I worried he got too slim and I was starving him.  Thankfully he's feeling better, so when he actually allowed me to take a photo of him, I was thrilled.  Now let's head to my craft room.

I use my grungy mug when I work in the craft room or outside.  It has a lid, so there is no chance I will mistake it for dirty paint water and it keeps the elements out of my coffee, too.  Yes, that is coffee in my mug.  I use my red metal straw for everything at home because my neck doesn't go very far backward due to my birth defect which is similar to arthritis.

Today I want to talk about altered Rolodex cards.  I was in or hosted several swaps in which we traded these cards.  I have them sorted by swap name.  The first one is autumn, but I loaded them backward.  My fault, not blogger's.

This was part of a color swap.  I have smudged the names and blogs or e-mail addresses, so the names of the players are not shown.

This and the previous card were "green."

This is either purple or violet.  I didn't check, just took the photos.

Although I smudged the name of the person who made the lower card, I loved the stamp she used.  It reads "This better not go in the trash."

This and the next four are from an Autumn swap.

Why am I showing these, you ask.  First, because my Rolodex holder is small and second, because these were part of the things my shopaholic friend Kathy left for me.  In return, I am willing to send any and everyone who wants them, 10 of these cards for you to play with and alter.  All you have to do is let me know in comments and I will get them off to you in a few days.  If there is enough interest, we will have a swap.  Please don't hesitate to ask.  I am sure once you start altering them, you will have fun with them, too.

The ones Kathy left me have lines on one side (see photo above this one) and this information on the other side.

Their size is about 2 inches X 4 inches (5,08 centimeters X 10,16 centimeters).  Believe me, I have enough for everyone to receive 10 each, whether you participate in T Tuesday, or not.

It's now time to share your own drink inspired post this week.  It can be gifts you received, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, mail art, junk mail, catalogs, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, handmade cards, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.   Please link only your T post and not your blog in general.  Bleubeard would like to remind you that old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year.

Today is also Day 1 of AEDM, and I hosted my weekly drink related link up party.   This will be my 13th year creating art each day.  Even though I blog daily, I take pride in November, where I get to renew old friendships and meet new players.

Lovely to see Squiggles, glad he's feeling better. I regularly drink my paint water or clean my brush in my coffee, I need a mug with a lid, too. Nice idea with the followed swap, I have loads of cards. A swap is a nice idea. Have a happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

My post today is a little different: it only MENTIONS a drink of water, no picture. I hope this is ok. I'll try to get back to images of drinks. Or you can look at my October wrap-up from Sunday, which has a bottle of wine to drink with BOO Oreos. I hope everyone enjoys a good start to November!

I am so glad to see that Squiggles is doing much better. Might have been good in the long run for him to lose some weight if was over weight before.

It's so good to hear that Squiggles is improving. It is always scary when pets don't feel well since you have to "guess" what might be wrong since they can't tell you. I am also loving your Rolodex cards. It looks like you've been having lots of fun making them. If there's enough interest and you end up hosting a swap, I would love to join in. You can send me cards if you do a swap, but otherwise you can save your postage cost. Thanks for sharing these fun Rolodex cards and have a wonderful T day too. Hugs-Erika

I love the altered Rolodex cards. Oh, how I remember thumbing through them, typing up new ones, pulling this one or that one for a boss - Now, I guess they are more a vintage thing.

That is good news about Squiggles. He really is a good looking boy from close up too.
Ah, and now I know what a Rolodex card is! I had heard, but never seen one. You have made an interesting set of altered cards. Perfect for Halloween etc. I tink you did great! And I'm sure you had good fun making them.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

I remember in a previous post that you mentioned Squiggles needed to slim down. That is great that he is feeling better and sporting his new trim physique.
What a great collection of altered cards. Looks like something fun to flip through.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Hello friend. I haven't completely dropped off the face of the Earth...just had gone silent for a bit.

Over the summer I saw some rolodex cards and felt a little nostalgic about the things I could do with them. Alas I left them be...I have to much stuff that I'm not using right now! :)

Nice to see Sqiggles. He is a handsome fello.

I am glad that Squiggles is better. It is so worrying if our little friends are not doing well and we don't really know what is wrong. He looks like a lovely boy! The Rolodex cards are so much fun, and that stamp with the trash is hilarious! I'm with Erica - if there are enough people to join a swap I'm in - that would be fun!

Squiggles is so handsome. Great photo. What a great idea with the rolladex cards. I use them in junk journals, too, and have a lot of them. But what a great idea to decorate them and put them back in the container to keep them. :) Happy T Day!

Oh, you defend blogger?! LOL.

Wow so much creativity! They´re all so beautiful, I can´t even pick a favorite!
The green one would look perfect in our red-green kitchen, and the leaves, oh, Ingo will sure scream "stop" at one point!

I learn so much here, never heard of ROLODEX, really had to google it!

Aw, so glad to see cute Squiggles. Altering the Rolodex cards is very clever as you would have a way to display them, too. Happy T Day

I'm glad Squiggles is doing well :)

Rolodex cards sounds like a fun thing. It's kinda like ATCs in that they'd be easy to store. I especially love your Autumn cards. I look forward to seeing how folks alter them.

I still don't have a door for the utility closet. This has been the install from hell :(

I hope Squiggles is feeling better, he looks so lovely with his little pink nose. I love cats with pink noses! I've never had a rolodex, not sure they still sell them here but they look like fun to decorate, a bit like index cards. Happy T Day Elle/EOTC xx

It's fun to see the art as always, but the very best part of this post is the photo of Squiggles. He's so handsome, what a sweet face. And I'm just thrilled he is getting better.
