T Stands For Cookies (and photo woes)

I'm having a terrible time with my camera.  I went out on Sunday and was planning to take photos of a few murals.  This is what I got.  I first noticed the problem the day I voted, but I thought it got better when I took a couple of photos from the side window of my car.  Not so.

However, it appears to take fairly decent photos inside.  I kept my fingers crossed as I unloaded these photos a few minutes ago.  Yes, I'm running behind again.

Please join me at my dining room table for coffee and cookies.

My coffee wasn't exactly light enough, but I learned why as I drank it.  I splashed the cream in the coffee, but didn't stir it.  All the cream sank to the bottom.  Yes, the photo is blurry, but I took 27 photos and this was the best of the bunch.  Seems it's having trouble focusing, too.

I got the second pen when I voted last Tuesday.  Before the upcoming election, we received a request that had to be filled out to get a ballot, but the ballot request came too late to return it in time.  Once I got the request (which required a first class stamp), I would have to fill out the ballot and return it before last Tuesday (requiring another first class stamp).  I'm cheap.  More than frugal. CHEAP!  I knew it wouldn't cost $1.16 (USD) to go to the voting place, so I gladly chose that option.  I used the second pen as I had the first to mark my choices on the touch screen.  I also wore disposable gloves and a mask, although there were some there who were not wearing masks.

I'm not really a baker, but I was given some M & Ms before Halloween.  I decided to bake some cookies.  They are as ugly as they look.  The batch gave me 25 and of those, these were the very best looking ones.  They were pitiful, but they tasted OK.  Not delicious, like the purchased gooey and soft chocolate chip cookies, of course.

Nope, they don't look any better up close, either.

They look even worse the closer I get.

Someone who did look good up close

was the guy who is NOT the face of our blog.  Cute, slim, and trim Squiggles.

While in my dining room, I took a couple of photos of my pineapple "plant."  Is it my imagination, or has this really grown since I brought it inside?

The baby spider/airplane plant seems to like it better inside, too.  The cilantro, not so much!

It's now time to share your own drink inspired post this week.  It can be gifts you received, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, mail art, junk mail, catalogs, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, handmade cards, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.   Please link only your T post and not your blog in general.  Bleubeard would like to remind you that old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year.

This is also Day Nine of Art Every Day Month (AEDM) and I hosted a drink link party.

Sorry about your camera, perhaps you could get it repaired. Your cookies look good, enjoy! Your plants look great, which is more than I can say of mine! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

Cameras of the old type lasted for years and years. Digital cameras are much better with all the automatic settings, built-in light meters, and instant feedback but they do wear out fast! I don't even know how many I've had since my first digital camera 20 years ago, but each one improves on the previous one. Good luck figuring out what your camera needs.

Your coffee looks pretty good -- too bad the cookies you made didn't turn out better than packaged cookies.

Camera's can be finicky things. Sometimes you just have to play around with the settings. I have found that at times I have accidently switched something without knowing it. Hope you get it figured out.
Cookies don't have to look pretty if they are just for you. However, they do have to taste good. Enjoy your cookies and coffee.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Oh dear, seems your camera is on the blink! And you don’t have a mobile phone! I hope you can get it fixed or we won’t see any more photos.
The cookies look nice, especially the ones with the choc chips in them. But you are right, the shop bought ones with the chewy insides are really nice and difficult to make at home.
Great photo of Squiggles!
Happy T- Day,
Lisca

I'm not good with cameras so am quite happy with my Iphone photos:) My hubby though still loves a nice "normal" camera. Hopefully your problem was just a glitch that has since resolved itself.
Your coffee is so light it looks like the way I used to drink tea with milk;)
I think your cookies look delicious and I'll take one of each please...
Anyone who can keep living plants knows what they're doing for sure in my eyes since I can't keep ANYthing alive for very long indoors.
Happy T day!

Sorry to hear your camera is acting up. Perhaps something is off in the settings? I think your M&M cookies look delicious. It is really is about how they taste rather than how they look. Cookies would taste good right now. A little evening snack. I'll take a plate with a glass of milk. Smile. Your plants look happy to be inside. They are out of any chill, and it looks like they have fantastic light. I hope you're adjusting to this time change. I feel like it is late when it is only 5 o'clock. Have a wonderful T day and week ahead my friend. Hugs-Erika

Sorry about your camera. May be its just a setting issue.

I'm sorry that you have trouble with your camera - I'm not sure things like that fix themselves. I was always hoping for that with my older cameras and it never happened.. How cool that you get pens when you vote, we only get stickers, but at least we have drop-off boxes and therefore don't need to mail our ballots. If I remember corretly, we don't even need to put a stamp on the envelope. Cookies don't need to look good, of they taste good that is all it takes. I like the pictures of Squiggles.

Squiggles is SUCH a cutie. Your cookies look good enough to eat - which is all that is required of them.
I hope your camera starts to behave again.

It sucks when your camera is "behaving" that way!
I´m sorry, hope you can get it repaired!
Your cookies made me laugh, though:-) And Squiggles gave me a huge smile - oh, he looks so serious! Like he´s telling the camera off. Such a cute nose.
Cool pens. Good idea, maybe something like this would help making more people vote - sometimes it´s the little things.

I too noticed that my hand phone camera is not as clear as before. These days things do not last as long as before. Nice yummy cookies.

The cookies look good. Did you use real butter? That makes a big difference in baking. Camera woes. Does the camera need new batteries? Squiggles looks very cute and has such pretty eyes. Happy T Day!

Squiggles looks good, so do the cookies! Sorry about your camera issues, does it have settings you can tweak or take it to a camera shop, or if no shop, google the problem, might find a solution online? Or you could try adjusting it in photoshop using some of the auto settings or photo fixing settings? Happy T Day Elle/EOTC xx

I hope your camera recovers. It's hard to replace them imo because I get stuck doing research and can never decide. I'm just using my smart phone camera for now.

I think the cookies look tasty :)

Hello, Squiggles, you pretty cat you! Happy T Tuesday!

My plants seem happier to be back inside as well. I wish I could grow cilantro! I've bought the plants, rooted some, all to no avail.
I only use my cell phone camera these days, leaving several good cameras lying in a drawer.

P.S. masks are still mandatory here and I am happy to comply.

Look at that Squiggles:) I'm sure those cookies went down easy:)
Love those pens and that you voted.

I got here, a tad late, but here. It is still Tuesday! :)
The cookies look good. I am not the cook I used to be. An age thing, maybe.
We voted by mail. It is just easier that way. We have been set up for awhile to do that. Thank you for the coffee and cookies for t day. Have a great week, Elizabeth.
