Hats!

It's time to once again join Tracey from Hotchpotchcreations, our host this month at Art Journal Journey.   This is my penultimate journal page featuring My Favorite Color is October.

Today is all about color.  Since everything is turning brown in my world, I decided to use that as my inspiration for today's October journal entry.

Hats, hats,

and more hats!

I'm not much of a stamper, but I colored a background stamp in black and dark brown, and the three women with their hats in light brown to show the colors that are prevalent in my world right now.

Thank you ever so much for visiting today.  Bleubeard, and I are delighted you joined us and hope to see you at Art Journal Journey with your own journal page featuring My favorite color is October.

I want to let everyone know that I contacted Leah Piken Kolidas to see if she is hosting Art Every Day Month (AEDM) again this year.  She told me her blog wasn't working properly, so would let me know if and when it was back online.  She  assured me she would still host AEDM, even if she couldn't get her blog working properly.  Tuesday she contacted me to let me know she got her blog working again and had created the 2021 sign-up sheet.  If you want to play along and you only want to do it on your blog (or other social media site), please head over there now and add your name and blog.  Hope you will join me there.  I'll only share daily from my blog and link daily to Leah's blog.

Fabulous page, Elizabeth, very well composed with the texts in the background and the elegant hats in vintage style. Have a great day, take care, hugs, Valerie

Great page Elizabeth! I love those stylish ladies.

This page is enigmatic! Ladies in hats among words makes me wonder what meaning it might have.

Love your page and how you stamped the ladies with hats over the writing. I am stopping by to wish Bluebeard a happy birthday. 😁

How did I miss this post? I thought I was keeping up, but I guess everything going on got in my way too. So you are doing better than me at not missing posts. How is Squiggles? This week Pete had xrays (which was a traumatic day for him being left at the vet) for an injury that happened last spring and has never fully healed. He has some kind of bone issue going on in his shoulder joint, but now she thinks he needs a dog orthopedic. I wonder what that will cost.

This is a great piece. I love the stamped words overlapping on the background and those hat ladies. I have this set buried away and I guess I need to dig it out as they look super. I forgot what a fun set they are. This is perfect for AJJ, and I hope it was a good THursday. Hugs-Erika
