It's time to join Tracey from Hotchpotchcreations, our host this month at Art Journal Journey.
After all, it's Pumpkin Picking Season, also the title of today's post. I'm also including a few close-up photos.
I sewed the focal image to a sheet of 110 lb. cardstock. I also sewed the large pumpkin and the sentiment using orange thread. My feed dogs don't drop, so this was as good as I could get.
Thank you ever so much for visiting today. Bleubeard, and I
are delighted you joined us and hope to see you at Art Journal Journey with your own take on My favorite color is October. There's still plenty of time to join us before the end of the month.
I also want to give everyone a heads up for November. I want to let everyone know that I contacted Leah Piken
Kolidas to see if she is hosting Art Every Day Month (AEDM) again this
year. She told me her blog wasn't working properly, so would let me
know if and when it was back online. She assured me she would still
host AEDM, even if it wasn't on her blog. Tuesday
she contacted me to let me know she got her blog working again and had
created the 2021 sign-up sheet. If you want to play along and you only
want to do it on a blog and no other social media site, please head over
there now and add your name and blog. Hope to see you there starting November 1.

I adore pumpkin and the birds are the icing on that particular cake. Thank you.
Your pumpkin page is gorgeous, and I love all the added stitching you did, well done! My machine is not talking to me just now! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
The birds are such an original touch! Brilliant. I love October, too. It's becoming my favortie season.
Such a nice image. I like the way you sewed the ridges in the pumpkin. Reminds me of happy times going to the farm down the road to pick pumpkins from their field with the girlies.
I think those birds might be rufous sided towhees, and they are pretty perfect with the pumpkins. (Say pretty perfect with the pumpkins 3 times fast-smile). This is a beauty my friend. It is perfect for Tracey's challenge. Thanks for sharing. Keeping this short as I want to finish visiting blogs before I head out for allergy shots. This morning is getting away from me. Hugs-Erika
The picture with the pumpkins is beautiful and the little bird makes it special. Lovely Elizabeth :)

Pumpkins this year.... nope.
This is such a lovely piece. Definitely fall! Beautiful colors and work.
PUMPKINS ARE EVERYWHERE! Our neighbor has carved two big ones: by big, I mean around 55 inches tall and probably 1000 pounds. He gets the biggest ones he can each year.

Wow this is so beautiful. Your creative touch has made this a true work of art.
I love this. It's so cheery and pretty. Purrfect for the season.
I love this one too
Thank you
I so love this Elizabeth, a stand alone picture of Autumn beauty, love how you added the detail in the pumpkins.. Brings back happy pumpkin picking days with my children when they were younger. Beautiful work.
Thanks also for the heads up about AEDM Hugs Tracey xx
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Such a beautiful picture enhanced by your stitching, especially that on the pumpkin.
I have just been told by my podiatrist that there is somewhere local that has pumpkins growing in the field and they have set them out at the entrance in a line, starting with the biggest ones going down to tiny ones and there is a line of wheelbarrows, starting with large ones and going down to small ones for children to collect their own and wheel them away. Obviously they will have to pay for them and take the wheelbarrow back but I thought it must look lovely. I wonder if I can fit in a run to the place - if I can find it? In the car of course.
Hugs, Neet xxx
Oh My Elizabeth, you have turned a beautiful image into something really special by adding your stitching - love this so much, Hugs, Chrisx
Love your sewing on here, Elizabeth! Wonderful page.
That stitching makes the piece imo.
