This is the blank May journal, but thankfully, it's already been written in. Also, since there are some language inspired stamps on the pages, I'm sharing these with Elle, from Empire of the Cat, our host this month at Art Journal Journey.
Compared to several of my internet friends, my calendar pages are really wimpy. That's why I thought I would show you my April Flower Bed.
Fast forward to yesterday (Sunday). Tulips are gone, hyacinths are gone, dandelions have bloomed, and the only green are the leaves of what will eventually be Naked Ladies or Peace Lilies. And my yard needs to be mowed again. Only ONE iris bloomed this year, too.
I thought I killed them by smothering them before I got rid of most of the vinca vines in this small bed.
under my care, or lack of it, this winter! I bet you're glad you'll never ask me to babysit your plants.
Thanks for stopping by to see my wimpy calendar pages and my front flower bed. I appreciate you taking time to visit.

Love the T(ea)-idea and dreaming big is always best!
Well done with the focal point-shot.
Your neighbor is terrible!!! Was he/she allowed to do this without asking you?! You could´ve replanted the bush. Sad...
Oh, but you can make a wish I see! That dandelion that in not in bloom yet! Blow it away in one blow and make a wish :-)
My T babysat my avocado-plant wonderfully. He gave it back to me and... I killed it. I didn´t mean to! Brought it all the way to Wolfsburg and then that... (I didn´t even dare to tell him).
Plants, huh...
I am not good at all with indoor plants and have given up even trying.
Love your outside garden and am awed at your calendar.
I am definitely a person with no green thumbs, I have problems getting my little balcony planted, a garden would be a big challenge for me! Your diaries look good, have fun filling up May! Thanks for sharing all the photos, hugs, Valerie
I've linked to 2nd on the 2nd. Could you please link me this evening to TsfT?
I read your diary (still think that is awful to say and do) and raced off to see your abstract face art and I've left a comment there. I don't know if you see older comments. I'd love to see more of your abstract art.
I always love to see your garden and your indoors. The tulips and hyacinths are doing well and so nice to see the lilies-of-the-valley. For some reason they don't grow well here. I really like the photo of the tulip with the dead wood in focus, very arty indeed.
Love from Sheila
Your calendar looks very nice and functional. That's all mine is anymore, and I don't even have stamping on it. My old daily journal had big boxes so I could doodle, but I am trying a different style this year-like it but the monthly calendar is small. So it looks good to me. And your garden bed is looking nice also. I like the tulips. You have irises already? Wow. Irises are still a month away for me, and they are really pretty when they bloom. Hope the month has started well. Hugs-Erika
A busy April and the promise of May. Your tulips and daffs are very pretty. It's a shame about your peony bush. Sounds like your neighbor to the north is related to my Leaf Lady. I think I'll see my lily of the valley bloom at the end of this month and I had a ton of iris, but no idea what happened to them.
I don’t think your calendar pages are whimsy at all! I love the improve-ness and randomness of them. Mine are SO regimented. I’m working on that a bit. I struggle to get away from regimented in all my art. Your flower garden is so pretty. I love that everywhere is turning green and colorful again.
All those pretty flowers! I'm still wondering if that fence encroaches on your property. Such a thoughtless act, that fence! and such a loss :( I do like the way you've landscaped your front yard.
I adore lilies of the valley. You can't kill them -- many people think they are weeds (they're wrong).

I started doing a pain journal a year or so ago but only got halfway through the month of August when I gave up so I applaud anyone who keeps one going - and pictorial too. I didn't read any of yours although you did say we could - I just left it to be private for you.
Love the tulips and that iris is beautiful - I can't wait for mine to come up (iris) and now, having seen yours, I think I need to buy more.
Hugs, to all

Your calendar pages are never wimpy Elizabeth. I love the different drink vessels for each week and you definitely have enough space to write all you need to. Your garden looked great with all those Spring flowers and I'm sure it won't be long before there are more flowers to join your beautiful Lilies of the Valley and the Iris.
BTW - I think I dislike your neighbour even more now know that your Peony was killed off! Big hugs, Chrisx
Your house is so cute. And the garden did well n spring and I'm sure will in summer, too. (I grow those dandelion things too!)
Would you be so kind to email me your address? I saw something a long while ago at an estate sale that reminded me of you and I wanted to send it along! (Not a big deal but i think you'd see the connection!) jeanie@wkar.org
Lovely flowers and garden, great page your journal , congrats 👍😊 have a great day 💐 hugs from Chile
What glorious garden photos! And your house is just so cute!
Your calendars look good, and it's lovely to see your garden photos too Elizabeth. I love the lily of the valley!
Happy May!

I love your calendar pages. I think I could benefit from a monthly calendar, I only have a daily bujo type and not very pretty. Love the language stamps. Too early for anything interesting in the garden here as it's too cold but I love your tulips and your solitary iris - beautiful colour! Thanks for joining me for the Language theme at Art Journal Journey this month Elle xx
