An early birthday gift

I have received the most perfect bEARTHday gift anyone could give me.  It's the gift of time.  I'd much rather have that than "stuff."  As much as I love "stuff" (don't all mixed media artists?), I prefer the gift of time.  I also like that others are willing to share recycling projects, too.

Today my dear friend Erika is sharing a real gem.  I know exactly what this beauty is, but if you want to see it, you'll have to go to Erika's blog.  I cropped it so well, I wonder if even Erika recognizes it.

Per Erika:
My husband found this (recycle project) at our dump's recycle shop (where people can put things that are still good but they don't want) last summer.

Feel free to guess what she created before you visit her blog.  I just hope I haven't given too much of it away.

This is Day 18 of 22 and I feature a guest designer, my dear friend Erika, who has a recycling project I promise you will love.

Love your skilled cropping and the art. And yes, I was clueless (which is unfortunately very common).

I sort of guessed what Erika had made but I won't mention it here so as not to spoil the fun for the next person. Have a great birthday.

You did do a wonderful job of cropping these photos my friend. Except for the googley eye, I can't tell it is Mr. Fish. This is really a tease, but a fun one. And nice you have some time too. That is always a wonderful thing but often so elusive. I am glad to help out. Hope your weekend is going well. Hugs-Erika

Wow! This is a cool way to meet a new blogger, because like everyone else, I had to go over to peep to see what this is, and yes, how clever. I agree, that people doing crafty things are always appreciated, and I sure wish I had that skill. Kudos for receiving such a wonderful gift from Erika. Are you counting down the days yet? (lol) Hugs, RO

I couldn't figure out, but I've gone over to Erika's blog and it's a great "fishy" upcycle.
The gift of time is certainly wonderful Elizabeth.

I guessed at some sort of creature but never imagined anything as beautiful as Erika's fish - well disguised E! Hugs, Chrisx

I looked at this for a long time and made a guess in my head. Then went to see what it really was, because I was wrong too. LOL Fun post.

I thought it was a crater on the moon. Really enjoyed reading the story behind this and visiting Erika to see what it was all about. Did it fool Bleubeard too?
