More piano searching and my monthly calendar

This is where we left off of my trip to

I decided to take a closer look at what was behind the fence.

That sign was a bit foreboding.  Needless to say, that's as far as I went.

I read about the Labyrinth, but was quickly distracted.

I'm not sure if it was the pink aligator,

or the fish.

It was winter, bitterly cold, and I was surprised the pond wasn't frozen over.  Not to worry.  I'll be back for more photos soon.  And before you ask, I never found the pianos.

I caught a lot of grief when I wrote the following the other day:

I'm not an artist (someone who can draw and sketch), but having watched several people participate last year, I decided to try it.  Sorry, I cropped this a bit too much on the right side. So, using the prompt of the day on the ICAD blog run by Tammy of Daisy Yellow, I thought I would try my luck at collage.  And what happened?  The first thing I did was try to draw something.  You might want to join the fun, too. 

First, I wrote this back in 2013.  I was trying to say I don't draw and I don't sketch.  It's just not in my wheelhouse.  I don't really know what else to call you artists who draw, sketch, color, and paint, but it isn't me.  THAT was all I was getting at.  I sew (wonky) fabric to fabric, paper to paper, and fabric to paper.  I make backgrounds that have nothing to do with drawing or sketching.  I can glue paper to paper without blinking an eye.  I write tutorials and commentaries.  I'm sure you'll all agree I do it with aplomb.  HOWEVER, don't ask me to draw the Mona Lisa, or even a beautiful flower.  I can't seem to do it, nor do I care to.  We all have our strengths and weaknesses and my strengths have NOTHING to do with painting beautiful paintings, sketches, or drawings.  Now you know what I meant.  It doesn't mean I'm not a mixed media or collage artist.

Here are my April completed pages.  Sorry they are scanned in two parts.  I had planned to add Nicole's name to the birthday list for the 27th, but forgot.  Note the quotes I found interesting in April.

I DID remember Jo's birthday.  The other birthdays had cupcakes stamped on their dates.
