Monday Murals: Parks and Recreation building art

It's time to join Sami at Sami's Colourful World and her Monday Murals. Although I'm posting at my regular time, please be aware that Sami's mural linky won't go live until 11:01 a.m. my time.  I am also once again joining Betty at My Corner of the World where she shares her own and provides links for family friendly photos from around the world.

Please note, these photos were taken prior to the mandatory (both county and state) lock down.  I have been in self quarantine since March 14 and have been nowhere since then. 

I had been told about this mural from a friend who loves to hunt down murals.  Unfortunately, the friend doesn't have a blog, so can't share the found ones with the world.

This mural was difficult to photograph because it was so large

and I had trouble getting back far enough to photograph it.

I decided on a few close-ups

I love the perceived texture these artists achieved.

I found this much better photo on the internet showing one of the artists the day of the ribbon cutting.

This mural is found at the Parks and Recreation building located at 2700 N. Woodland, Wichita, Kansas (USA).  The project was sponsored by the Horizontes Project.  It was overseen by local artist Armando Minjarez and painted by two artists from Colombia, Felipe Ortiz and Ivan Salazar, who also painted the Aztec Art mural I showed back in February or March.
