What's On Your Workdesk this 520th Wednesday? Don't let me forget the *

This is the BIG one, ladies and gentlemen.  It's the day we honor Julia at Stamping Ground, our wonderful host and Queen desker.  It's also the day we celebrate 10 years of WOYWW.  I wasn't here from the beginning, but I was here for the first anniversary and haven't missed one since.  I simply can't forget to add my asterisk.

I want to point out, that I have only found one person I can't reply to and it was a desker on Instagram.  I'm a blogger (PERIOD) and don't "do" any other social media sites.

I have to admit, these "artistic" ATCs look much better on my dining room table than the actual ATCs I created.  It's amazing what several blur transformations in Photoshop can do for some not very creative ATCs.  None of these are for my PIF partner.  All will be revealed after the crop on June 1.

More than a few of you have asked about the dresses hanging on my wall.  I will explain them next week,

but for now, today is all about Julia and the desks.

What's On Your Workdesk Wendy is a photo hog.  She is hiding the ATC I kept for myself.  It's clear she's also guarding the envelope I've designated for my PIF partner.

She's also pointing to the obligatory rocking horse (which I'm sure is the real reason people visit).  It was sent to me years ago by no other than the queen of deskers, Julia herself.

Wendy has hopped over to my other "desk" that holds my guillotine cutter and my sewing machine.  I made this dust cover from a used pillowcase to celebrate the first anniversary of WOYWW.  It was the first time I ever stamped on fabric.  I was SO scared I would mess it up.  Of course, that's when Wendy was born, too.  She doesn't look too bad for being 10 years old!

I want to thank each of you for joining me today, and in Julia's words:
The number that your name is given on the list is important..leave it when you make a comment on other Desker's posts and they can visit you without too much to-ing and fro-ing.
I am also grateful for any and everyone visiting my desk today.

Thank you Nikki for once again making and supplying the blog button.

Happy 10th anniversary Elizabeth. How fortuitous that last year Iwas your PIF and this year you are mine. I have already emailed you as I have mislaid your address. Love all the WOYWW references in your craft room and I am intrigued to find out more about the dresses.

Forever giving with your posts Elizabeth and always a joy to sit and read and see all you WoywW tributes through the years. Fab to see the cover is still going strong, it's one of my favourite mediums to work on is fabric and I think we all need a Wendy in our WOYWW lives. No ATC participation from me but hope that one day I can send you a little something for your kindness from across the pond. Happy WoywW Tracey #10
P.S Sorry again to all those missed posts, it's such a busy time for me at the moment and online time is very limited xx

You bringing Wendy out again has made me wonder what I did with Flat Susan? I know she is somewhere safe - must have a look for her and must have a tidy up in the process.
Lovely to see Wendy and what a little mummy's helper she is proving to be today.
Love your machine cover - obviously you had no reason to be scared all those years ago and I guess printing on fabric is a breeze these days for you.
Hugs to you and Bleubeard (and Squiggles and Wendy, cannot leave anyone out)

It's good to see Wendy out again - she's a diva, of course she's going to hog the limelight, lol! It's funny how we've all evolved, be it as crafters or bloggers - I'm very grateful to have been part of the journey.
Oh and the badges are stuck onto my shelves with blu tac, nothing complicated!

I feel blessed to be part of this crafty, creative, nice and supporting tribe that is still blogging and communicating (more than just a 'thumb's up') Yep, I am one of those bloggers that still WRITE POSTS... ha! Hi Elizabeth m. Happy TENTH indedy! Seeing WOYWW Wendy did remind me of Neets flat Susan too.. funny isn’t it? Love your guillotine that’s like the ones from school days, certainly very sturdy and strongly built. Your WOYWW sewing machine cover is certainly prettier than mine which came with my machine.
Looking forward to story of dresses!

Hi Elizabeth, THanks for stopping by!! It seems like an absolute age since I've had the pleasure of 'visiting' you (and seeing your rocking horses) but that's down to me and my inability to make time for WOYWW these days. (It was actually easier when I was working on a Wednesday 'cos I could schedule myself public counter duty and browse the internet instead - we didn't get many queries!!). Hope all is well with you and Happy 10TH Anniversary. Happy Wednesday, Cindy #43

HI Elizabeth, ooh that is a fun little collection you have gathered together :) and I should probably mention that I have been collecting rubber stamps for 20+ years and quite a few of them came to me from dt assignments and ebay yard sales of lot purchases. ( I am weeding them out) :) ~Stacy #37

How absolutely fab to have you on the list for this big old anniversary. I struggle to believe that Wendy is ten! I am very touched that you’ve gathered all the WOYWW stuff to remind us, it means a lot to me, helps me understand that I’m not the only one who thinks that we’ve built something really nice here.

Since I am reading on the computer for a break I wanted to answer.
I decided too that these copper pots were too valuable to sell-I also have a copper piece we bought in amish country in Indiana years ago that was used for homemade fudge making-I love it-I remember it was a splurge as we paid 200.00 for it-we were going to use it as a sink for the bathroom and I decided I didn't want to do that-that is coming too.
there are fire pits at the lake but that is a good idea to check on the fire rules never thought of that -thanks. we are planning on building me an outdoor kitchen in the front of the house so it will be close to the kitchen and there is a rock wall behind it already.
I collected old sears gates, headboards of beds etc to use in my veggie gardens-they are great to have things climb on them-pole beans, cucumbers, etc I was thinking perhaps morning glories or something similiar-they look nice just rested on a tree too-I have one loaded with native honeysuckle-which I thought of digging up but there is too much poison ivy there too.

A lovely WOYWW-y post, Elizabeth, and What's On Your Workdesk Wendy is so clever lol lol! She is so cute, and yes, looking good for her 10 years. The sewing machine cover is genius! (And yes, we do come looking for rocking horses when we visit you!)

When I first saw the blurred photo of the ATCs, I thought, "Oooh, she's made her ATCs out of fur! How nice!" Strokeable ATCs.

Thank you for your visit and your lovely comment. I hadn't connected my hubby' twindom with that of the kitties! Nice one. I'm so glad you like the card I made for him, with Lily floating among the clouds. Going to the County Show is always a bit of a birthday treat for him because it's always at the same time of year. He enjoyed being a pirate for a minute but he'd never succeed in that job because he's far to nice!!

Thank you for your good wishes for my benefit appeal. The whole thing's a total nightmare and I'm already suffering from the stress of it and feeling quite poorly at the moment. I'm gradually gathering all the necessary paperwork and really hope I don't have to appeal, but given by what other people say, that's a vain hope.

Happy 10th anniversary WOYWW,
Shoshi #15

ooh some lovely dresses, will pop back next week to read all about them.
I am a blogger and instagrammer too but for some reason my android will NOT let me comment on blogs (even if I am logged in) so out comes the big old laptop (hence a couple days later for my comments) but I got there in the end!

I have my WOYWW badges too and sometimes wear them to shows as its a good way to potential meet other deskers! Not seen your sewing machine dust cover before, what a great idea.
Happy WOYWW
