Good old St. Nick
You more than likely know by now that Bleubeard and I are hosting Art Journal Journey this month. Our themes are My Favorite Season, or 'Tis the Season. For this spread we are going with 'Tis the Season. However, the real reason I wanted to share this today is because Try it on Tuesday's theme is Guess Who's Coming? Santa!
I love Jolly St. Nick.
I love his white beard and his cap. I love the collage that surrounds him. It's one of my all time favorite stamps, and it stamps really well every time, something I normally can't say.
Of course, I also love that St. Nick
is always jolly.
For this page, I began by laying down blue and pink water soluble crayons. I love how they spread and blend. Next, I added the word Jolly I cut using my deckle scissors. I elevated the word using three rows of pop-dots stacked on top of each other. After I stamped St. Nick, I used clear and red Stickles to add a bit of color.
Bleubeard and I are so happy you chose to visit us today and hope you'll also join us at Art Journal Journey where our themes are Favorite Season or 'Tis the Season and at Try it on Tuesday, where their theme is Guess Who's Coming? Santa!.

Very jolly, Elisabeth! I'm sure I have that stamp somewhere... it's a Stampington image, isn't it? Love the glitter :-) Hope you're enjoying your Christmas preparations...

That is a jolly page. I am with you about that stamp (in fact that whole collection of stamps that the artist made-her name was something Andersson) it was fabulous! It is perfect for TIOT and thanks for linking in with us for this challenge. I also really like the little sparkles on his beard! Have a great weekend Elizabeth! Hugs-Erika
It is a wonderful traditional Santa image, I love your fabulous page. Jolly was the right word to add as santa always brings a smile to me when I see his images.
Thank you for adding this to out last TioT's theme of the year, we all appreciate the support you give to us there.

I like watercolor crayons, too. And that stamp- what can I say- it's terrific! Jolly, jolly.
That is a good Santa, jolly indeed but not at all cartoon-y. So many modern Santa pics seem too overblown to me. Yours and its setting are perfect!
great stamp...glad you have fun.
have a wonderful day
Ooh, gorgeous colours in the background - like a sunset over the sea - and what a wonderful image of Father Christmas - he looks properly friendly, and I love all the vintage script surrounding him.

That is a fabulous stamp! I love what you did with it - the two-toned background and the sparkles. And the Jolly word too!
Such a nice jolly Santa :)
All the best Jan
I do agree that this is a wonderful Santa! I love the script that surrounds him too! I am so pleased that you joined us at Try It On Tuesday with this lovely Northern Lights style background !
I am longing for some time with my journals, but although I have lots of backgrounds, there is still no sign of time to play ...unless I get up at 5.00am!!! Hugs, Chrisx
