T Stands for a return to Todd Brian's

I had to be downtown recently, so dropped in on one of my favorite restaurants: Todd Brian's Brick Street Cafe and Tavern.

After I ordered, I took a few photos around the restaurant.

I always like to take a photo of this, because it reminds me of where I live.

I got bold and ordered Cajun Creole Shrimp, which was advertised as having a touch of spice in a creamy Cajun white sauce.  However, I waited and waited and waited, something I never have to do there, especially when I am joined with my foodie friend Sally, who didn't join me that day.  Finally, the owner came out and told me they had burned the shrimp and it would be just a few more minutes.  He also told me the meal would be half price because I had to wait so long.  What a deal.  A meal that should have cost $12.99 (plus tax), now cost $6.50 (plus tax).  I would gladly wait for that!!

As I waited, I saw the Wichita, KS flag painted in wood on the wall over the kitchen.  When my food came, I was so hungry, I forgot to take photos.  Glad I got a photo of my water with lemon, though.

I also have a wonderful surprise to share and what better day than T Tuesday.

This wonderful gift

was created specifically for Bleubeard and me by my dear friend RO.  Wish I had a blinkie to thank her, but this will just have to do.  Thank you, dear RO!

It's now time for you to share your own drink related post.  Feel free to discuss anything. Your post may include photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media, fiber art, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Then, please link your story below.  The photos don't have to be taken on Tuesday, and can relate to anything with a drink.  Please use the direct link to your T post, not your blog in general, so we can find you easily.

Of course, since this is the last Tuesday in November, I would be remiss if I didn't remind you to start digging up your Second Look for the 2nd of next month.  I encourage you to play, because all you have to do is share a post you have shown in the past.  It can be any genre, any length, as long as it has been shown sometime in the past on your blog.

This is also Day 27 of Art Every Day Month (AEDM) and I created and hosted a link up drink party.

The ornament is just awesome, Elizabeth!

Your story about the shrimp deal reminds me of the time I visited my sister in Milwaukee (all the way from Mexico). So it was special no matter what happened. We went out for lunch and I found a pretty large shard of glass in my salad. I didn't think it was a big deal. I just asked for a new salad. At the end, they comped both our meals. It made a special day even more so.

Happy T-day! Eileen xoxo

Its good when the reason for the wait is explained and even better that you were offered a better deal. It looked a lovely place to eat and the meal sounded delicious.
You received a super gift from Ro, its a fabulous 'Born Crafter ' star.

P.S. Ro's blog is fabulous - a true blog - a web log of someone's life. But I don't see any craft. Does she create the gifts she sends you?

Wow!That was a bargain! What a treat! And so thoughtful of the staff to own up and explain why you had to wait. These things happen...
How kind of RO to send you such lovely gifts. I really like that. If you have a christmas tree, you can hang them up in it.
Thanks for reminding me of second on the 2nd. I hope I do remember on the actual day...
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

good evening, I want to thank you for your comments on my keto post-I had no idea about seniors needing that much protein per day--so I googled and read several sites-and you are right we need double the protein as we did before age 50-I had no idea about this-so I need to rethink things now-and perhaps talk with our doctor about this-My husband has many health issues including the latest congestive heart so we have to really really watch the salt intake now and amount of liquid he can drink although he can have as much cafeine as he wants-lol he is like you and loves his coffee-he also has one bad kidney so I need to talk to a professional now for advice on the protein---but I wanted to thank you for this information. we really don't eat that much protein AT all never did-even when I was a vegatarian I didn't eat much protein foods. I could increase mine with whey powder beverage.

YIKES! I'm behind as usual in my postings, so please forgive me. You already know, I would have waited for ages for a cheeseburger, but not shrimp(lol) I'm thrilled that you like the star so much, because you know I love your crafting, tips, knowledge and all the other stuff. I hope it comes in handy somewhere around the house. Many HUGE Hugs...RO
