You may have read I can't leave comments on any blog, including my own. It is still true, even though I visit your blog when you leave a link on the Art Journal Journey blog.
Today Bleubeard and I are back at Art Journal Journey talking about a favorite of many.
Money, money, money. Detail shots are below.
I got out my old Monopoly set and grabbed a few bills that I staggered on the 110 lb cardstock. I found a strip of glitzy ribbon to which I added the computer generated sentiment. I then added three pennies, one of which I accidentally adhered upside down. These are the pennies I would call "old style." The new ones are made with less copper. The design on the pennies I used show the Lincoln Memorial on the reverse and President Lincoln on the front. These pennies were minted from 1959 to 2008.The new design features President Lincoln on the obverse and the Union Shield on the reverse. The U.S. Mint started producing the new style in 2010. BTW, the U.S. Mint ceased production of new pennies on November 12, 2025, after over 230 years of making them.
Thanks for joining Bleubeard and me today at Art Journal Journey as we celebrate Anywhere, Anytime, Any Place, with Anyone. I believe I should have added Any THING to my list of any's.
