A Visit To France

I'm sure a few of you think I'm a bad host because I don't leave you a comment on your blog, even though I read each post.  Unfortunately, it's because for some unknown (to me) reason, I am unable to leave comments to anyone, even on my own blog.

As many of you know, I love to travel.  However, I do it purely through my art.  This month we will visit France, a country located in Western Europe.  Of course, we are here because we are hosting Art Journal Journey this month.  Our theme is Anywhere, Anytime, Any Place, with Anyone.

We are headed to Paris, France and Provence.  Details are below.

When we hear the word "France," we usually immediately think Paris, the capital of France.  However, as I have shown, there is more to France than just Paris.  For example, there is Provence, a region in southeastern France.  I started with a sheet of gray cardstock which I outlined in brown dye ink.  I added three images of Paris and the Eiffel Tower which I found in two different travel brochures.  I also added an image representing Provence.  I computer generated the words and used the same brown dye ink to highlight them.

Tomorrow we will visit Marseille, the largest city in the region.

Thank you beyond belief for visiting today, even though I am unable to leave comments on any blog including my own. Bleubeard and I would love to see you at Art Journal Journey with your own interpretation of Anywhere, Anytime, Any Place, with Anyone.
