T Stands For I'm A Dufuss

Not only can I STILL not comment on any blog, including my own, I accidentally deleted every photo I had stored in Photoshop.  In a phone call to my friend Scott, he thought the photos, scans, and images were still on my computer.  If they are, I certainly can't find them.  In a desperate need to host T Stands For Tuesday, I am bringing back a few photos from past years.  Some you may have seen, some not.

I call this T Stands For Mardi Gras.  Some of you may be concerned that I threw two babies into this cup of tea.  However, these babies bake in a King Cake at 350 F (176.67 C), so a bit of warm tea is like bathing the baby in bath water.  Mardi Gras, also known as Shrove Tuesday, Fat Tuesday, or Pancake Day is February 17 this year.

In 2024, for my bEARTHday, my foodie friend Sally took me to Golden Corral where I pigged out on carrot cake.  Not quite as good as my grandmother always made for my birthday, but acceptable at least.

In September, 2022, I went to a harvest party with my "No Names, No Photos Allowed" group.  In case you are new here, these are mostly high power women who don't want their names or faces all over the internet.  I can appreciate that.

Our host asked me to make my pumpkin roll.  I've made it before for this group and it goes over well.  This year there were eight of us, so I only had to make one.  The filling was butter cream with cinnamon and pumpkin spice.  I chilled it and covered it with plastic wrap, which, when I removed the plastic to take the photo, took most of the powdered sugar topping with it.  Glad I did this before I took it to the party.  I'm also drinking lime infused water in my autumn leaf mug.

In May, 2021, I showed 10 ways to use coffee in your art.  I have since added two more, but not sure I ever photographed them.

In January, 2021, I once again showed my altered Christmas advent calendar.  These are all items that can or might be found in any altered book or journal pages.  I made this several years before 2021, but love opening the boxes every year and seeing what I included in each box.  There is a tea bag in box 22.  The boxes are made using old jewelry cases gifted me by my friend Sally.

In December, 2020, I shared my eggnog at my dining room table.  I don't know anyone who doesn't have strong feelings about eggnog.  They either love it or they hate it.  There doesn't seem to be any middle ground when it comes to eggnog.

In 2020, I won a box of goodies from my internet friend CJ.  Included was a set of tiny tea related rubber stamps.  I used them to create this post in October, 2020.

For our sixth T Tuesday anniversary in July 2019, I made a tag and drank water to which I added a wedge of lemon.  The sentiment on the tag reads: Six years celebrating your choice of drink.

This entry is from December, 2018.  I sewed the words  using variegated thread to the recycled music background.

In August, 2018, I created this house and added the sentiment: Home is where my coffee is.

I created this mixed media entry in December, 2017. For this spread I created in my Challenges altered book, I started with a background using twinkling H2Os and bubble wrap.  The sentiment was written with a white Gelly Roll pen.   I added a bingo card, a heart button, a fussy cut cup of coffee from a magazine, and washi tape.  I added three strips of washi tape, and covered one when I added the coffee cup.  So much for thinking ahead!  The sentiment: Celebrate the ordinary.

This was the invitation I shared for when T Stands For Tuesday turned four in July, 2017.

In July, 2015, you found me in my dining room with an empty cup and my partially completed Coffee themed altered book (AB).  I was on a kick to finish as many of those ABs as possible that I had lying around.

In late April, 2015, my dear friend Kathy visited and I took her to lunch to celebrate her birthday.  I caught her off guard when I snapped this photo.

I took several photos of this recycled tea pot filled with tulips from my back yard in April, 2015.

For our Safe Communities event in October, 2014, Starbucks provided the coffee, and I provided iced tea, water, and, along with my next door neighbor, finger snacks.   Lots of children got to see not one, but two fire trucks and the horse patrol.

I love my Taylor and Ng mugs (sorry the photo is poor).  Mine (I own 10 as seen in this old photo) all read copyrighted 1979.  This is the old style I got in the mid 1980s and are no longer available.  I shared this photo on my blog in September, 2014.

Back in January, 2014, I created this page for T Tuesday.  I began by laying down tea stained art using old tea bags and magazine images.  I added more tea bags, joss paper, some stamped images I was gifted with, a China flag cut from a roll of flags, German scrap, and a bit of stamping.  I then added it to my 7 Continents altered book.

This photo is from September, 2013.  This was in my dining room where you found me drinking a can of AriZona tea.  It included ginseng and honey.  To that I added a slice of lemon, and a plate of fresh strawberries.

On July 15, 2013, I welcomed drink lovers to the first T Stands for Tuesday.

In June, 2013 I shared this tea pitcher, glass, and quilt top, all of which had originally been owned or made by my Grandmother (my grand parents raised me from birth).

In late May, 2013, I created this truly British tea post.  I started my tea preparation in true British fashion.  I found this piece at a thrift store, but hadn't bothered ironing it.  I was drinking wonderful Twinings Rose Garden Tea.

I've shown you mine, now it's your turn to share your T entry this week.  The rules are extremely simple.  Your drink related post may be anything from a photo of a glass, cup, or mug, to an actual drink.  You may choose to share a sketch or a digital, hybrid, or traditional page in your scrapbook, art journal, or altered book, as I have done.  Maybe you'd prefer to share a tag, or wow us with your photography.  You might choose a postcard or decorated card.  You might even draw an image on a used tea bag.  Or perhaps you prefer to review a place you visited, a movie, or book.  It makes no difference as long as it's drink related.  And don't forget that the more unique and outside the box it is, the better we like it.  Please tie it back here, and please link only to your T post, not your entire blog.  When you link, Bleubeard, the T gang, and I will be by to visit, although I probably won't be able to comment.   Bleubeard would also like to remind you that your photos may be taken any time.

BTW, you can start digging up your Second on the 2nd post.  The only requirement is, it must have been published sometime in the past. In case you are new, the rules are quite simple and everyone is welcome to join the fun look back.  All you have to do is bring back a post that you are especially proud of, or perhaps one you shared before anyone knew your blog existed.  Any post, any genre, any artistic endeavor is acceptable, as long as it's been published sometime in the past
