Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it.
I'm once again joining Erika and her bird theme at Art Journal Journey for a bit of non-Easter art.

Obviously, I named this
I will not be caged. Detail images are below.

I started by cutting a used file folder in half. Then I spread yellow craft paint on the folder. I tried to use a brayer to distribute the paint, but I am brayer challenged, so the coverage is not the best. Next, I added red acrylic paint and immediately created swirls with a hair pick. Once dry, I adhered the gifted cage and the beautiful bird that I fussy cut from a birthday card I received last year. It has beautiful gold where the scanner shows it as yellow. I computer generated the sentiment.
For Day 20 of 22, I recycled a used file folder, and a fussy cut bird. The cage was a gift. As always, I appreciate your visit. It means more than you realize.

Hooray for uncaged birds - and people.
Very cute and I like the sentiment! :)
Birds should be free to fly, just like people. Nice page my friend. I love the hair pick texture you created. And thank you for joining us to AJJ. It is appreciated as always. And Happy Easter. hugs-Erika
