Leaf

I created this latest entry for Alison/Craftytrog, our host this month at Art Journal Journey and her theme of Autumn Colors and Inspiration

This was supposed to be a leaf I painted and created doodles on.  Instead, it's a not so nice leaf painted with gold ink.  Detail shots are below.

I began by painting the background brown.  With my left arm still in a sling, I found it virtually impossible to hold the leaf and not get my arm in the way.  I also had trouble trying to draw the gold dots.  I added the piece of measuring tape because it was on my table.  I had planned to draw more doodles, but once I was half way round the leaf, I knew that wasn't going to happen.

Bleubeard and I are delighted you dropped by.  We also hope you will join us at Art Journal Journey with your own interpretation of Autumn Colors and Inspiration.

That's a lovely red leaf. If you background blue or purple? They both look nice, but funny how the colors are different in different photos. Have a great day! hugs-Erika

Hello dear Elizabeth, At first glance it looks like that leaf was made by nature, dots and all. And that's a compliment to your talent;)
