I'm back today with another spread for Halle who is hosting this month at Art Journal Journey. Her theme as you know by now is I've got a notion. This will be my final entry this month.
This is a large piece: 8 1/2 X 11 inches, standard U.S. cardstock (also printer/copier paper). I fussy cut a portion of the treadle sewing machine, but realized my limitations, so quit while I was ahead. I used the TH paper doll thinking he went well with the sewing machine.
Bleubeard and I are grateful you dropped by today and hope to see you at Art Journal Journey. We want to thank Halle for her hard work and hosting this month. I'm sure you can tell, I love this theme.

I wish the he in this house did sew.
If only he had pigtails it could have been me. I am sure I remember mum having a machine like this - a treadle. May be wrong but I seem to remember one.
Great page Elizabeth

...men have been tailors for centuries.
So many sewing machines in your creations and also those of other people. The old treadle machines and the tables made for them were really beautiful craft work. I learned to sew on one like that: a Singer machine, as I’ve no doubt said in response to previous posts.

Another great piece to wrap up the month. Love how he is leaning on the sewing machine.
My paternal grandmother had a huge treadle sewing machine like that. I wonder what happened to it? Your page brought back memories. :)
Send that little fella this way
Very good page
A wonderful page Elizabeth! I hope that little fella has something to stand on so he can reach :-)
Happy new week!
Alison
My grandfather was a tailor with a similar machine!!
Your creation is beautiful!!
This is especially brilliant as the winner of The Great British Sewing Bee last week was a man! A truly lovely page for Halle's AJJ theme, hugs Chrisx
Ps I think I may have caught up at least with AJJ
! So sorry to have missed TSFT x
That sewing machine is the right height for the little TH guy. I think he's waiting for someone to come along and stitch something for him though. I wonder what that might be. hugs-Erika
You and Sally have the best foodie outings. Love the background you chose for the treadle sewing machine and boy.
I love his striped socks and those shoes. What a jaunty pose 😊
