If you are under a heat dome like much of this country, Canada, and parts of Europe, I'm going to give you a chance to cool down a bit. BTW, I understand that this past Monday was recorded as the hottest day on the entire earth. I read it in a New York Times tidbit.
To help you feel a bit cooler, I'm taking you back to Christmastime last winter.
My foodie friend Sally
wanted to buy some gourmet popcorn. Apparently they are only open during the holidays.
When I first walked in, I was greeted by this popcorn train. Do you see Santa peeking around the corner?
They have all kinds of popcorn and popcorn makers, too.
The display in the center of the room was nearly bare, but there was a Santa on the right of the display
and one on the left in my photo. Looks like there was another popcorn train, too.
It appears not only were there Santas everywhere, there were 
repeating decorations, too.
Of course, I had to get an obligatory photo of the Christmas tree.
These are what Sally purchased. In case you are curious both the plain popcorn and the mixed popcorn were $19.99 (USD) each. And I didn't get even a single kernel of her popcorn.A few funnies and maybe some not so funny:

Hi Elizabeth, it actually cooled down a little this week where we are thank goodness as I'm not a lover of the heat, it might be okay if you've nothing to do or have a pool but sadly we don't and in fact many public pools have closed since Covid and many never opened again. Christmas will soon be here again I fear, before we know it. The weeks seem to skip by very quickly. Take care my friend and stay cool. Hugs Angela xXx
Well we are over half-way to next Christmas Elizabeth. What a lot of popcorn. We are not huge fans but we do make a little sometimes.
It is hot here too and I am running out of ideas for keeping cool. But I try to manage something useful every day before I curl up with a book again. Let's hope we both have days a few degrees cooler soon. Kate x

At the Art Fair last week, popcorn was $10 a box — maybe we are out of touch with normal prices but this seemed insane. So we went home and made some and ate it while sitting down (not strolling around). Sally’s popcorn bags look gigantic, but still kind of pricy. In any case, I like it freshly made. Have a good Christmas in July if that’s what you are contemplating.

I just noticed Mae's comment about popcorn. It is easier to make if you have a popcorn maker. Or you can buy giant bags of SmartPop or a few others at Costco for about $6. Well, to each their own, and Sally looks happy with her popcorn. I like to opinion/fact piece. Yes, it's insanely hot! We are fortunate that it's a dry heat, but still very hot. My son and family are going different places as a tourist. In the cities it's even hotter! I have declined going with them today and yesterday. >It's too hot.
Oh Christmas will be upon us soon. I still have my pink poinsettia to remind me. I was really surprised at Sally buying such a large bag of plain popcorn as it can be made at home even without a popcorn maker (in a pan). Perhaps the speciality flavours are not so easy to do at home and I can understand that. OK, easch to his own as they say.
Thanks for the funnies. I had a comment in mind regarding ears and a better aim, but I'd better not share that.

My late mom began Christmas in July at her church. She loved it. It was cause they lived in cottage country and family and friends weren't usually around.
Popcorn doesn't seem cooling to me, but Santa is, I guess--lol!

I enjoy the Christmas in July idea. It is definitely hot here with extreme heat warnings and dangerous air quality conditions. I'm inside watching the Olympics and scrolling through political stuff 🤪
