December 2023 complete and January 2024 a disaster

This is my final calendar page using this wonderful calendar.  My friend Sally didn't order any for 2024 because they have gotten so expensive.  For those who want to see my even more boring life than usual, here is the very last page ever in this great calendar.

I purchased this calendar at Dollar Tree and I hate it.  It's so thin, the monthly cups I printed can be seen through the next page.  It doesn't fit on my scanner, so I'll be taking photos from now on.  However, I'm sharing this with Erika who many of you know as BioArtGalErika's theme for Art Journal Journey is It's On The Calendar.  I will also be joining Nicole and her Friday Face Off later tonight.  Both dogs have faces and there are faces in the December calendar page, too.

Thanks beyond belief for joining Bleubeard and me today.  We are grateful you stopped by.  We also hope you will join us at Art Journal Journey and Friday Face Off.

I am sorry that your calendar isn't up to your requirements - but I always look forward to your posts.
My calendar is more boring (much more) than yours. It seems to be mostly medical appointments and there are more that I should make...

By your calendar, you look busy.

Sometimes it's worth it to spend a little more and get what you want -- it can be so frustrating, especially for art -- to not have it be what you want. I do like last year's layout.

I hate when stamps bleed through on cheap paper. Maybe you could stamp the cups on other paper and cut them out and glue or tape them on?

I appreciate Dollar Tree, but sometimes the products disappoint...

I'm guessing that your dollar store is like our Poundland the quality of goods vary so much. I love how you decorated your December page! Hope you are feeling better, hugs, Chrisx

Sorry you are not happy with your calendar. I got a good free one from the Canadian Wildlife Foundation.

To bad your calendar paper isn't very good. However, I do like those dog faces. And the small calendar attachment too. Your December calendar is quite festive too. . I like it. Thanks for linking up to AJJ. I do appreciate it. Have a great Friday. hugs-Erika

I've said this before. You are so organized with your calendar pages. It is so impressive. Thank you for joining FFO and have a nice evening.

Sad with the calendar. I think I would dump it and buy a better one rather than hating it for a whole year!
Astonishingly prices here did not go down for calendars despite one month is nearly over, hence I have on the wall so far only the ESE-one. Hope you can fill in a smiley-face today, have a fun Friday :-)

Hi Elizabeth! Your calendars look good. I save on everything except for paper to paint! Have a great Friday and weekend,

I hope you find a nicer calendar soon. I know that sometimes Dollar Tree has nice stuff, and sometimes it is just cheap, like the paper in this calendar.

My calendar is on my phone and is strictly functional....but I have it with me all the time.

Your December calendar looks good, but I'm sorry that you are so disappointed with the new calendar. I seldom go to the dollar store - well, I seldom shop (except for groceries & toiletries), period. If I need art supplies I go to the local art supply store; the yarn I like to knit with I can only get online; I haven't bought new clothes in a long time except for good walking shoes that I certainly wouldn't buy at the dollar store. I just don't like to shop very much anymore.

Hi, Elizabeth! I hear you! It's so aggravating when you have a good calendar and then can't find or get it again for the new year. I'm sure that you will find a way to make yours colorful and inspiring, even if it's not what you want. May its pages be filled with wonderful, meaningful things!

I hope you find something more satisfactory Elizabeth, I too get used something year after year and when it no longer is available or if things change like price or quality it really puts me off. I couldn't be without my calendar or diaries the problem I have is remembering to sync them all with appointments, medication and meetings that change almost every day. There's nothing like writing things down and seeing times and dates with my own eyes rather than getting a reminder or message on my phone << I'm old school.
Wishing you all the best and Happy creative 2024 if I have not already.
Hugs Tracey xx

Glad to see you are carrying on with your calendar in spite of the poor quality Elizabeth. If you think your life is boring, you should read mine.
I hope your January has been good so far.

Haven't seen you around much soit was a delight to see you posting here. I didn't envisage my year starting off as it did when I said i wanted a rest, this was supposed to be a good year. Maybe in time it can start but I think my healing is going to be a long slow process.
So sorry about your calendar, I know what its like to find your work bleeds through. Try either cutting images out and sticking the or use pencil crayons.
Hugs, Neet xxx
