An Irish Blessing

Today I'm joining Matilde from Craftowanie who is our host this month at Art Journal Journey.

Matilde's theme this month is Numbers.  There are always loads of numbers on a bingo card.

I attempted to add this Irish Blessing which was a transparency.  Unfortunately it tore to shreds when I tried to adhere it to the bingo card.

Fortunately, I was able to see enough of the saying.

May your heart be warm and happy
With the lilt of Irish laughter
Every day in every way
And forever and ever after.

You might also be able to see I added a clear bingo marker to the FREE slot.

I used several layers for this journal page.  They were held together with green variegated thread.  I had two pieces of the green and tan scrapbook paper that was double sided.  One side was the plaid, the other the kraft color.  Both the pages and the bingo card were sewn to 110 lb. cardstock.  I added the blessing last, and it was too late to remove it because of the sticky background that came with it.  I just have to pretend it was supposed to be that way, even though we all know better.

Thanks so much for joining Bleubeard and me today.  We genuinely hope to see you soon at Art Journal Journey.  I have two appointments this morning, so it will be late before I can visit any of you today, my dear friends.

I've never heard that irish Blessing before, have a couple of them in stamp form.
Love the idea of the Bingo for your numbers entry and that has given me an idea for another week - thanks for the inspiration.
Good to be back.

I like how it tore so you can read the free word. Who doesn't like free? I think it makes your page more interesting than if had it been complete. But that's just me. Hope all is well with you. hugs-Erika

The torn part looks wispy and kind of like you planned it that way. Opportunities from accidents...

That saying is new to me, and it works so well with your background and all those luck of the Irish numbers

A bingo card is a good idea. I'm struggling with my computer, which goes on strike every few minutes, ugh! Hugs, Valerie
