I'm playing catch up by once again joining Elle from Empire of the Cat, our host this month at Art Journal Journey. Her theme, which you may know by now, is Fairytales, Folklore, and Fables - Tell Me A Story.
I started this page by spraying several of my handmade shimmering mists onto 110 lb cardstock. Then I proceeded to cover the majority of the mists with my focal image. I watered down metallic purple paint and used it as a wash over the skeletons I found in my stash. I also had the skull and the hand in my stash. All were printed on my laser printer, then added to the page using a glue stick. The trick or treat sign came from another project.
Bleubeard and I
are delighted you joined us today, and hope to see you at Art Journal Journey with your own take on Fairytales, Folklore, and Fables -
Tell Me A Story.

Clever - and I love your use of shimmering mists.
Our Henry-Skeleton says hi!!! :-)
Well done!
Fun page, Elizabeth, Perhaps it's skeletons in my closet taking up all the room I need for my clothes! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
Great idea for a page Elizabeth, love the purple too. Also love what Valerie said about the skeletons taking up all the room she needs for clothes haha. Maybe that's my problem too! Thanks for joining me for the October theme at Art Journal Journey this month Elle/Empire of the Cat xx
You're so good at wordplay Elizabeth. How fun is this! I like your skeleton. And It's fun to see a bit of Halloween journaling too. Happy Wednesday to you. Hugs-Erika
Your page makes a perfect decoration for Halloween.
Great page Elizabeth... i'm rather partial to skeletons .. as you might have guessed..lol My Mother used to say my Grandmother had a lot of skeletons in her closet.. you maybe can guess she didn't care for my Father's Mother.. lol Hugs! deb
I'm not sure I would want to see actual skeletons in my closet:). I love the purple wash and the orange bit that pops.
Nice seasonal page.
I must have come on here last night and then got thrown off the internet (yes, am away again) as I remember seeing your skelebobs.
Love how you highlighted them with purple and added the orange ticket type words at the side. Two great colours for Halloween that work so well together.
Love the boney hand even though it does make me shiver. A real spooky page.
Hugs, Neet xxx
I love this page! Skeletons are so cool.
Skeletons in our closets are scarier than the ones out on lawns ;)
I love how you made this Elizabeth! You've used some fabulously spooky colours! hugs, Chrisx
ouch. The only skeleton in my home is me. I have lost weight and now I look much like that. :(
What a fun theme! I love how you interpreted it -- great colors, and the paper looks almost transparent!
Fantastic skeletons.
