I'm still having trouble leaving comments on certain blogs. It has put me far behind visiting some of my friends who I have not had time to visit. I hope to be caught up by late tomorrow afternoon IF blogger doesn't act up again.
I also have been dealing with a broken hot water heater. I thought I had to return it to the store where I purchased it, but my friend Scott drove to town on Sunday, his one day off this week, and fixed it. While dumping the water out of the heater to return it to the store (I had a return order from Whirlpool), he found the problem and repaired it by simply buying a few pieces for the defective parts I can probably use in my art. However, had I returned the heater to the store, they would have replaced it at no cost to me.
Although I had planned to create a different T Tuesday post, I felt I had to properly thank Elle for her gift.
Sorry Lisca. No real postage here.
Just metered mail.
Wonderful gifts from Elle. Her Empire of the Cat signature and return address is charming. The note she included on the back of the tag was thoughtful, since she knew I loved the bunny rabbit. And did you notice the tartan type fabric on the side of the tag?
It looked like the flip side of the coaster, too. BTW, that cup and saucer are what I'm using as my entry for T this week. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Elle. I can't believe I am finishing this post just minutes before T time.
Now it's your turn to share a drink inspired post this week. It can be
gifts you received, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, mail
art, junk mail, catalogs, books, sketches, mixed
media, drawings, paintings, handmade cards, tags, scrapbooking, or other
art that is
digital, hybrid, or traditional, a favorite mug, cup and saucer, teapot,
coffee pot, or even a wine glass. Regardless, please join us by linking
below. Bleubeard and I will gladly visit, as will other T
participants. Please link only your T post and not your
blog in general. Bleubeard would like to remind you that old photos are acceptable because they may be taken
any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year.
Being without a. hot water heater is really unpleasant. Great that you were able to deal with your problems with the one you had. Now I hope you can figure out what is going on with the comments that seem to disappear into the void. It’s definitely been my experience too.
It's great that your water heater has been repaired. Good ol' Scott! Yes, it was so nice to get the present from Elle. I featured it in my blog too today. Happy T-Day, Lisca
Elle is very talented, isn't she? I loved her package, and I'm glad yours arrived. I like your bunny tag too, as I had a stag. Have a great T day Elizabeth. hugs-Erika
Such a kind friend to fix your water heater on his day off! And a bonus that the pieces can be used in your art. So glad for you that the problem is resolved. Elle's package is beautiful, with a Scottish flair. Lovely! Happy Tea Day, Kate
So glad you could fix your hot water heater... one less thing in the landfill right?! Over the years we have fixed many hot water heaters by replacing parts or sometimes its just sediment build up in the bottom.. You would be shocked at how much stuff comes out of an old water heater...Get all that out and often it will work fine for a long time ... I just love your coaster! Beautiful!! Reminds me i should show the coasters i made and surprisingly have held up well over the years... Happy T day! Hugs! deb
Hooray for handy folks who can repair things. Glad Scott could fix the water heater. Your goodies from Elle are so delightful. I do love her Empire of the Cat return address label. Happy T Day
Sorry to hear of all you troubles, I hope everything gets sorted quickly for you. I loved seeing those amazing gifts from Elle, that was so kind of her and they are all so beautiful, aren't they 😁. I enjoyed receiving mine too, that Fudge went very well with my cuppa! Happy T Day! Hugs Jo x
same here Elizabeth and it's frustrating to say the least, especially when one's comment wants to wish someone a happy birthday; send a get well wish etc. only to have it shot off into the great void
very nice gift you received from your friend Elle :) ♥♥
Sorry about your water heater, hope it gets fixed soon! I know what it's like to have no heat or hot water. Glad you got the package eventually, and sorry it took so long. I'm sad about the lack of stamps when we go to send packages at the post office, it's all metered mail now and I love stamps! Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx

Bleubeard and I welcome you
Art, including the journey, background techniques, sewing on both paper and fabric, new experiments, photos, failures, and successes will be shared on this site. I have removed my e-mail address until such time as I can get it to work again. Thank you for understanding. You can always leave a note on my blog and I will visit you.
Please check out my Previous Collaborations link above to see what projects I have been involved in over the past 12 years. Current and ongoing projects only are shown below.
Occasionally, Silent Sunday will showcase photos of my home, neighborhood, or community. A picture is often worth a thousand words.
Feelfree to drop by every second Thursday of the month for my Second Thursday Tutorials. They are interspersed with my other Tutorials found at the link page above.

Click on the above image daily and help feed hungry dogs and cats. You can donate cat litter, too. You simply answer two questions (one about cats and one about dogs), and whether your answer is correct or not, you have just donated kibble to help feed both shelter animals and those in need.
I will create the art, critique things I feel are important, and put pen (and sometimes glue) to paper, or fingers to keys, while Bleubeard will mostly watch, supervise, or sleep.
