Another trip to Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

Bleubeard and I are spending our spring in the Caribbean.  We are still intrigued with this area.

As you can tell, we are still in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Old San Juan is a historic site located in the National Historic Landmark District and is listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places.

This guerite or garita is an overhanging, wall-mounted turret projecting from the walls of El Cañuelo in the Bay of San Juan.

This garita or Sentry Box is located at Castillo San Cristóbal in Old San Juan.

Castillo San Felipe del Morro.  Found in historic Old San Juan.  Famous for its light house and castle.  The fort was built by the Spaniards when they settled on the Island.  Famous 16th century citadel.  I was so lucky to get two different views of the fort in two different brochures.

All beaches of San Juan face the Atlantic Ocean, including Old San Juan.

This garita or Sentry Box is located on one of the corners of the castle at Castillo San Felipe del Morro.

I started this page by spreading a staz-on reinker and 91% isopropyl alcohol on 110 lb. cardstock.  I cut images from four different cruise magazines/brochures.  I then computer generated the words.  I backed both the images and the words I printed on recycled paper using black paint chip samples that were free from a big box home improvement store.  I've actually had these for years because at one time, I was going to use them in a Halloween spread.  The top words were matted using part of a security envelope.  I added bits of the same washi tape indicating these were Caribbean spreads.

This is Day 9 of 22, and I recycled images from cruise magazines, paint chip samples, and a security envelope.  I printed all the words on paper from my recycle box.  Bleubeard and I are so grateful you stopped by.  If you have time, please join us in our recycling efforts.
