Spring sale

Today I'm once again joining Valerie at Bastelmania, our host this month at Art Journal Journey.  Her theme is Spring and I am drawn to the spring sales.

Bleubeard and I are checking out all these spring cruise sales that are currently going on.

This one appears to be the ULTIMATE spring sale!

Let's look closer.

It appears Bleubeard and I can save up to $7000 (USD) and also have 2 for 1 cruise fares.

There are other perks, too.  Bleubeard wants the beverage package, and I'll take the free shore excursions.  Sorry, this new camera doesn't seem to like close-ups.

We'll both slip our toes in the sand and find sea shells by the seashore!

I started by adding turquoise and blue Staz-on reinkers to 91% isopropyl alcohol, which I painted onto 110 lb. cardstock.  I've been inundated with these cruise ship sales catalogs for days.  I finally felt I needed to start using a few of them.  The image on the left is from the Caribbean, to which I added three shells from my stash.  The image on the right was from central America and was accompanied by a piece of washi tape I will use in every Caribbean spread I create.

Thank you beyond belief for stopping by.  I am truly grateful to you, my dear friends, followers, readers, and lurkers for visiting.  Please also join Bleubeard and me at Art Journal Journey with your own interpretation of Spring.

Ahhh, if we only could travel again, feel the sand, run into the ocean.... your page makes me "homesick".

That looks like a good kind of spring sale. I really like the image on the bottom right. I wish there was more of it because it looks fascinating. But on your page, you used enough, and it works great. If the saving are up $7,000 that is one expensive trip to start with. I wonder where it is going? Have a great Saturday. Hope the back and bottom have improved. hugs-Erika

Looks as if you are going to visit the Kuna Indians of the San Blas islands near Panama, because your art work showed a little fragment of one of their fabric creations called a “mola” — made from cut-out and layered cloth. I think you would find this decorative technique interesting.

Oh, it would be so good to get away. Stick toes in the sand and ocean. Look for shells. So nice to dream looking at your page.

Well I think I have caught up, sorry I hadn't realised that you had had a fall. I hope you are not in too much pain and are recovering.
I loved the title you gave to this post and the thought of bargains to be had sounds good to everyone.
Stay safe.

I'm buying nothing lol no matter what the sale, but I'd love to walk along that beach :)

It's nice to dream of those distant shores, although I'm more of a countryside hiking girl myself. I would hate being stuck on a big boat with crowds of people. A great idea for your page though, and it looks good Elizabeth.
