Squiggles

I am determined to catch up with everyone today who I have missed visiting.  Between blogger throwing errors in my way and my trying to catch up after being offline for nearly a week last week, I am far behind visiting especially my friends at Art Journal Journey.  This is all I can offer because I have not created any art.

This is Squiggles before I put him on a diet.  He was a chunk.

This is Squiggles after I put him on a diet.  He is now at a much better weight and looks better.  Not sure what is on his mouth, but it is gone now.  Note his collar is even loose for a change.

After taking photos of my potted plants (I'll show them next), I noticed Squiggles wasn't paying attention to me or the camera for a change.  A perfect photo op.

It never fails, no matter where I place or hide the cat toys, they always end up in the dining area.

It may not look it because he has now gotten his winter coat, but he really IS far thinner than he was before I put him on his diet.  You can even see his backbone, something that was hidden by fat before.

Bored now!  Off to find something else to sniff out or destroy like he has the area rug.

My airplane/spider plant is losing a few leaves, but is healthy for the most part.  So is my pineapple plant.  The "stripes" on the plants is actually the sun shining through the mini blinds.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope to see you on your blog because today is a definite catch-up day.

Squiggles is a beautiful boy, but I suspect he didn't want to go on a diet. Jazz wouldn't.
And I love your plants.

Awww, loved all the pics of your now not so big boy!
Do cats really destroy things for fun? Aw, well, they are hunters after all, huh?

Good morning Elizabeth! Lovely to see the pics of Squiggles, glad he's still talking to you after the diet! Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie

Those photos of Squiggles look lovely, did he like being on the diet or go hunting hoping to find some hidden tasty morsels.
I had a few smiles reading your last post.
Have a good weekend.

I just want to pick Squiggles up and cuddle with him. He looks so soft. I’m glad he’s now a thinner, healthier weight.

Hurrah for Squiggles. It is good to see him and see him looking much thinner and dapper. MY last cat, Leo, who died in 2015, was a huge guy at healthy weight (22 pounds) but even he gained a few. And I had to laugh at the cat toy comment because it is also true for dog toys that end up all over the house. Pete likes to carry them in his mouth and then if he gets distracted, he drops them and there they stay. And you plants look great. I lost my rosemary plant early this year. Too dry inside I think. Usually I get to late February and it is gone. I hope you get caught up on blogging and no internet problems. Take care. Hugs-Erika

Here's to a slimmer, trimmer Squiggles! Looking good. I can't get over how very similar he looks to our Silver Tuxedo cat Iggy. They could be brothers.

Squiggles is gorgeous. He was gorgeous as a chunk but now even more svelte and handsome. He looks like an awfully good cat. Does he pester you for food constantly? They do like to eat! I'm so glad you shared photos -- I love seeing your cats.

Blogger certainly is playing tricks -some days I can leave comments really easily then another day every comment either has a whoops or a read only box!

Squiggles looks happy with his weight loss - is he now like me with more of a spring in his step?

I must look for a spider plant - they seem quite hardy!!

Take care, Chrisxx

Squiggles is a so awesome cat !! His eyes are wonderful, and tell all! I know the diet has been good for him. During the first weeks Sáhara was at home, she ate all of her plate, but now, she left half a plate each time :) and she is not fat at all.
Love your pineapple, and the other one on the left, I have got one too, but, it has only four or five leaves.
Thanks so much for sharing your lovely photographs from Squiggles and your plants Elizabeth.
I wish you a very nice afternoon and Sunday,
Big hugs, Caty

I'm glad to see Squiggles being the star of the show. He's a beauty :) Your plants look in good shape. I've never tried to grow pineapple, but it sounds like a fun project.

It's lovely to see Squiggles and Bleubeard - they are both so handsome 😁. Happy weekend! Hugs Jo x

Squiggles must be very well-behaved if he cooperated on the diet you prescribed. A lot of cats like to hunt, and are a big menace to songbirds. Your photos are nice, and it's good to give Squiggles some public viewing time.

I normally use Mozzila and lately, the last year or so, I have trouble with blogger. I switched to MS Edge just for blogging and FB and I have no problems at all. I don't mine switching back and forth with browsers if I can not have any troubles. BTW Love the kitty shots and your plants look great.

Hello! Your cat is beautiful! I think he looks perfect. Your plants are healthy too. I wanted to read your post above this one, but my eyes are giving me fits, so I have to limit my time on the computer. Just wanted to say hello-hope you are having a nice weekend!

Good job on getting the extra weight off Squiggles. Such a handsome lad.

Good on you and Squiggles for the weight loss. My cats went on a diet about 2 years ago, but they are getting plump again. Whenever one of us goes to the kitchen they pester us for food.
