Rain's Thursday Art Date: A winter night scene

It's Thursday, which means it's time to join Rain's Thursday Art Date. This week's theme is A winter night scene.  I don't have all that much to offer this week, but I'll try to share a few things I found.

I called this one "Headlights."  The sentiment reads Headlights show us the way through the dark nighttime streets.

There are certainly times when it's dark, cold, and winter on the moon.  This is a full scale replica of the Lunar Explorer Module (or LEM) and a full scale model of the Lunar Rover.  They are located at the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, Kansas, USA.

Personally, I was disappointed because you can't really tell this is a winter super moon.

I drank tea late at night sitting in my living room at my writing desk.  English Breakfast tea was on the menu, even though it was late at night. This was by Crabtree and Evelyn.

Late night coffee at my kitchen table as I sorted tea bags.

A cold winter night when my herbs, brought in so they would survive the winter, didn't look too healthy.

I'll leave you with one final entry in my Hands altered book.  The sentiment reads:
The night walked down the sky with stars in her hands.

Thank you beyond belief for stopping by today.  I am truly grateful to you, my dear friends, followers, readers, and lurkers for visiting.  Please also join Bleubeard and me at Rain's Thursday Art Date.   Bleubeard just wants to sleep and snuggle anytime at night, but especially in winter (as all cats do).

This will be my final TAD until March.  I will join you again on March 3rd.

Great first pic, a bit scary, though (I´m night blind).

Oh. Still haven´t finished Brian May´s 3D-book on the moon!
My strawberries are still outside, I hope they survive.
Love the last piece.

Love your images and capturing the moon that well (at any time of the year) is an achievement.

I was so intrigued by the "Headlights" picture. and I love that last quote: "The night walked down the sky with stars in her hands." It sounds like the beginning of a poem. Is it? I'm sorry you will be gone until March. Have a great February.

I like the "Headlights". Its a beautiful moon. If I drink coffee or certain tea, I would be awake the whole night until the next morning. Will be missing you until March 3rd. Do keep warm and stay safe.

That night driving scene is wonderful! I'm not bringing in my herbs so we'll see how they do. It's not nearly as cold here as what y'all get.

Tons of traffic on a highway remind me of strings of Christmas lights. Miles of red and white lights. The tealights looks so pretty on your kitchen table.

"Headlights" has that woodcut or linocut "look" that I just love! The little poem in your "Hands" altered book reminded me of a favourite poem by Rumi --

There is a Secret One inside.
All the stars in all the galaxies
Run through Her hands like beads.

It's been set to music and is a wonderful little chant as well.

Your winter light-and-shadow images are very beautiful. The candles and the light-colored cup and saucer are especially vivid.

The winter super moon is a fabulous photo. You did a great job capturing it! Night sky photography is difficult. I like drinking hot tea on cold nights and the little candles are so warmly inviting. :)

I always think those of you who do Rain's challenge come up with some great takes on a theme. These are cool.

I like those wintry images, especially the headlights. It almost looks like the cars are driving along huge fir branches.
