Citrus and Lavender

I'm running exceptionally late today.  Trying to play catch up and failing.  This is another journal page for Wendy, our host this month at Art Journal Journey.  By now, you probably know her theme is Vintage.

For lack of a better title, I named this Citrus and Lavender.
"Good friends nurture the soul and cheer the heart."  I found the saying, coffee dyed the card stock it was on, and turned it into a tag I placed behind the central image.  I used dye ink on the hole reinforcer.

This was originally a greeting card, but I loved the vintage feel to it.  I also coffee dyed it and left it to dry under several heavy books.

I had some pink dyed ribbon left over I wanted to use, so I strung it behind the card and tag.

I loved the vintage feel to the font showing the ingredients.

This little bird was a winner, too.

I began this page, created on 110 lb cardstock, with my current go-to background of a few drops of pink Staz-on reinker mixed with 91% isopropyl alcohol.  I coffee dyed everything else.
Thank you ever so much for dropping by today.  Bleubeard and I are simply thrilled you joined us and hope to see you soon at Art Journal Journey with your own take on Vintage

This is a beautiful page for Wendy's challenge, Elizabeth, love the vintage feel of the embellishments and the pretty pink lace. Citrus and lavender sounds like a great combination. Have a lovely day, hope you soon catch up on yourself! Hugs, Valerie

This is another beautiful page Elizabeth. I am loving how you used up the pink ribbon, and the vintage soap label is really pretty too.. You are rocking these feminine pages lately, and I have to say I love them. The tag and pocket are clever ideas. I might have to steal that because I haven't thought of a pocket for awhile, and I have some tags I want to use. Hope you finally get caught up and have some relaxing time this weekend. Happy Saturday. Hugs-Erika

That is a pretty age Elizabeth. I do like the advertisement for the Citrus and Lavender Lotion - it speaks Vintage so is perfect for the challenge on AJJ. What a lovely idea to put the ribbon behind it, it all adds to the overall picture of elegance.
Love the tag and the words are just perfect.
Have a lovely weekend

There is something especially warm and lovely about this piece, Elizabeth. The graphics are terrific -- so soft and pretty. Very fall. And I can almost smell that fragrance combo. Very nice!

I like that diagonal element and the depth/layering. I'd try that lotion :)
