T Stands For Yet Another Gift

I received some very happy mail last Thursday

and I am thrilled to share it with you for T this Tuesday.

I believe this is dated 14 May, 2021.  It was postmarked from Wichita, Kansas (USA).  Oh wait.  Don't I live in Wichita?  Yes.  It took nearly a MONTH to cross town from the east side of Wichita to the west central side of Wichita.

Some of you may have guessed it is from my dear friend Sharon, who we also know as Foxy Stamping Sharon.

These are the stamps.  One is a hamster first issued in 2016, and the other is an additional ounce stamp called Uncle Sam's Hat.  It was first issued in 2017.  As soon as I photographed it, I called Sharon to let her know I had received it.  I didn't want her thinking I was uncaring or insensitive by forgetting to thank her for everything she sent.

Inside was this stunning Thank You card.  It was elegant and beautiful.  Sharon was thanking me for some products I passed on to her that I thought she could use.  She also wished me a belated happy bEARTHday.

Also inside were some lovely TH paper dolls (obviously the newest set, because I've not seen these) and this lovely card you saw that covered my address above.

Here were a few more goodies I'll soon be putting to good use.

I am sure you will be seeing the butterfly soon, as well as some of the other incredible die cuts.  I am very grateful for these wonderful and thoughtful gifts, dear Sharon.  Thank you more than you will know.  Even though the card took forever to arrive, the timing of this wonderful gift was perfect.

Also on my kitchen table is a glass of cold lemon water.  Maybe you can see Sharon's card in the reflection.  I chose this glass because during a recent T Tuesday, Mae of Mae's Food Blog shared a post on juice glasses.  This is larger than the small juice glasses Mae shared.  This glass came from Aldi this last year.  It originally held jam or jelly.  Too good to throw in the recycle bin, but not something I would share with guests.  Friends and family yes, guests no.

I realize I've taken much of your time today, but it won't be long until our EIGHTH (8th) T Tuesday anniversary.  Please let me know in your comments if you want to join in by creating an ATC to send to a P.I.F. (PAY IT FORWARD) partner.  I'll include more information next week if you have questions or concerns.  Remember, it will NOT be mandatory, and no one will think less of anyone who doesn't want to join in.  It's just one way to share a bit of worldwide camaraderie and possibly remember Eileen in the process, since she loved making and sending ATCs to so many of us.

I'm fairly certain you know by now that it's now time to share your own drink inspired post this week.  It can be gifts you received, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, mail art, junk mail, catalogs, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.   Please link only your T post and not your blog in general.  Bleubeard would like to remind you that old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year.

Please don't forget to let me know if you would like to send an ATC to a P.I.F. partner this year.  Our anniversary is in four weeks, so I hope that gives you enough time to create a miniature work of art before the big event.

Wow! I thought our post was slow!! Lovely surprise and goodies though! I have stamp envy as it is my son's nickname - will you be bribed???? ;-) Only kidding!!!
I love your glass, what great idea to sell preserves in a useful container!
Count me in for an ATC PIF.
Have I surprised you by being so early?
Happy T Day, hugs, Chrisxxx

Crazy isn't it regarding the mail? Same thing happened to me when I sent my Mom a Valentine's Day card (only a few miles away in the same city!)and she got it 4 weeks later! Glad it all arrived safely though. A lovely card and such wonderful goodies to create with. Love your "new" juice glass:) Happy T day!

Wow that is crazy how long it took for Sharon's card to get to you. I'm glad arrived. It is too pretty to miss and also there's some nice surprises for you. And I like your jelly glass. It reminds me of the ones we had as kid from the old grape jelly containers. I think we had some with the Flintstones on them. They really should do that again because it is a good way to reuse a product, just like your glass is. Have a super T day. Hugs-Erika

And yes, I'd love to be part of the ATC switch this year too.

More fun goodies! That lemon water looks so refreshing. I always forget to put a little lemon in my water. So dumb since I love the flavor!
Happy T day!

The post office mess is the aftermath of the worst president in history, who appointed a big share holder in UPS to be head of the postal service. As the head, the appointee said he would decrease service levels and make everyone hate the post office and thus do business with UPS so he can make more money. This is hard to believe (unless you remember the former guy and his goals of always cashing in on his office). Mail going in and out of our area is also very messed up.Thus I’m glad you received your lovely card ever, at all.

Now that is really happy mail. But a month to travel across town--good grief! Our postal service needs help--soon! Enjoy them. :)

Ohhh this is the cutest stamp with the hamster, but really, one month?!
Now that is a great happy mail indeed :-)
Still so strange Aldi made it into the world. We still have Aldi Nord (north) and in South Germany hence Aldi Süd. Different products, too.

I really would need more info on ATC, and also... if it takes one month from one end to the other in your city.... ohhh, boy. Mine might take a year - not kidding, I´m still waiting for a t-shirt I ordered months ago!

Hi Elizabeth, happy T day. The comment I wrote yesterday evening didn't 'stick' for some reason or other! Post here sometimes takes ages, too. I will not join in PIF this year, I am trying to reduce my work load. Have a wonderful T Day, enjoy your happy mail and presents! Hugs, Valerie

Well that is even slower than Spain, still a lovely surprise when it finally arrived from Sharon,
I think I need to drink lemon water as the lemons are dropping off the tree, I have so many, I have sliced some and put them in the freezer.
Have a lovely week Elizabeth and Happy T Day.

I can't believe it took so long but it was well worth waiting for. What a lovely, happy mail! Those dolls are really special.
I remember glasses like that. Nutella used to do them years ago, and every family in the 70s and 80s had children's glasses with decorations on them that appeared from under the nutella label.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

That _is_ slow! Mail service has gotten so much worse over the last few years :( The Happy Mail is great, though, and when I saw that butterfly I thought how perfect the timing turned out to be :) Happy T Tuesday!

Definitely 'snail mail'...hehe Goodness, that is a long time to be delivered within the same town. Crazy! But worth the wait for sure...lots of goodies!

I used to keep the jars from jam I'd buy in the supermarkets as they were basically glasses with a push-on lid.

By the way, thanks for the info on Mailchimp. I decided not to go with it. Hopefully, those keen to follow my blog will have their own means to follow me.

Enjoy the rest of your week,

Lovely gift, I wonder what took it so long to travel across town, maybe it was indeed snail mail - is there a snail stamp? Happy Tea Day!

I read that drinking cold lemon water first thing in the morning really revs up our metabolism for the day, so I do try to drink it as often as I can. Sometimes I slack off though(lol), so thanks for the reminder. I just picked up some butterfly stickers for my planners, but they sure don't look as glorious as what you have here. Can't wait to see ho you'll use them. I think we've talked about the postal situation, and it sure has been a lot different these days, and I can totally relate. Sorry that it took such a long time for such a lovely and thoughtful card to show up, but thankfully it did. I've been busy working on a few things, but I'm so happy to see that things are going well out in your neck of the woods. Waving hello! Hugs, RO
