T Stands For Pie

I wish I'd thought of this on March 14 (Pi Day), but I only did this recently.

This came about because I had some heavy whipping cream.  Granted, when I poured a little in my coffee, it tasted funny.  Rather like adding butter to my coffee.  Although this isn't exactly a drink, it is still liquid, so I'm counting it as my entry this week.

I also had a can of pumpkin I bought well over a year ago, when I was still doing my own shopping.

Because I didn't want the pumpkin to go out of date, I decided to bake a pie and add whipping cream.  I don't think I whipped it long enough, but I didn't want to whip it until it turned to butter.

Now it's your turn to share a drink related post.  It can be gifts you received, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, mail art, junk mail, catalogs, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.   Please link only your T post and not your blog in general.  Bleubeard would like to remind you that old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year.

I think you can view whipping cream as a beverage. As long as. you are channeling Thanksgiving (pumpkin pie and all that) you can also have gravy as a beverage.

Pie is good anytime I made a lemon ice box pie recently and it quickly disappeared.

I love pumpkin, but have never had pumpkin pie (it isn't popular here). I have never seen canned pumpkin either.
I hope your pie (and cream) was delicious.

My husband loves Pumpkin pie but can only get it when we visit our son, I’ve never seen it here in Spain.

I’ve been ill for two weeks, haven’t been out the door apart from a trip to see the emergency doctor but hopefully I will be back next week

You sure made me laugh with the butter. And nearly cry with when you said when you still did your own shopping... Soon you will again, or do you already?
I never had pumpkin pie. Ingo´s Grandma grew her own pumpkins and made some....sour-sweet dessert from them.

Oh, P.S. great setting with the cloth and napkin, perfect and nice.
And funny. Here, when you use but a fork you´d put it on the right side.

Pumpkin pie is a fall treat for me. We used to make our own, but there is a local bakery that has a fabulous version, mildly spicy the way I like it, so that's where we go. I can take with or without the whipped cream. The taste of the pie is good enough for me!

Yum. When I was little I wanted to help Ma in the kitchen. She didn't like people in the kitchen, but she let me whip the cream. Yu, I whipped it good and turned it into butter. 😺 Happy T Day

One of my favorites is pumpkin pie and whipped cream, Elizabeth! I didn’t come to tea today, because , my husband fell and broke his hip on his birthday, no less and had to have emergency hip replacement. I have him on home now, but am very busy. Also family coming. I will be back when I can. Happy T Day!

I could only see your 'room of shame', and I didn't understand why there wasn't a mr Linky. Now I know. I should have refreshed my page!
Sorry to be late. Never mind, I love pumpkin pie! I think I have only made it once, but it was delicious. (We don't get pumpkin ready made in a tin, so it is quite a faff to peel, cut and cook a fresh pumpkin. Then I end up with too much...
So thank you for this delicious refreshment. I think I will have a coffee too.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

Pumpkin is my favorite pie. My Dad did layered pumpkin pie with cheesecake on the bottom that is my all time favorite pie. Whipped cream works in coffee but Butter in your coffee? I may try it since you recommended it. Fun post, Elizabeth. Happy T day! Hugz
