A tax day reprieve

Today is normally tax day in the States, and although the government has extended the limit this year, I have been given a reprieve.  My dear internet friend Jo at Let's Art Journal has a sensational recycling project she has created for us.  She even cropped the image, so I have NO idea what it is, either.  I can't wait to visit, because I know I'm going to love it.  And now, in Jo's own words:

Hi everyone, I'm thrilled and honoured to be here today with Bleubeard and Elizabeth as part of her 22 days of recycling leading up to her happy bEARTHday. One of my goals this year is to recycle and use up leftovers on my art journal pages, so I was delighted to be invited and very happy to join in the fun - thanks so much!

Here's a sneak peek of my art journal page; this little cutie was recycled from an old anniversary card. If you pop over to my blog you can see the whole page which was created using lots of recycled materials. This included tissue paper, brown paper packaging and some of the card that I place under my journal pages whilst crafting to catch any excess paints, inks, modelling paste etc; it just seems too nice to throw away. To find out how it all came together please pop over to my blog, Let's Art Journal.

I hope that you're inspired to recycle and repurpose materials for your art creations too! Hugs, Jo x

Thank you for creating this recycling project, Jo.  If you haven't already, let's head to Jo's blog and feast our eyes on some great art journaling.

The students at school are doing a lot of recycling this month, too. I saved a lot of the little hole-punch dots for them (they asked). Now that's some fiddly work they are doing if they are glueing down those dots!
