I'm joining my friend Sheila, who many of you know as Orange Esmeralda. She is our host this month at Art Journal Journey, and her theme is A Single Flower. And since Try it on Tuesday's latest challenge is Say it with Flowers, I'm joining them, too.
I give you my single flower.
It's rather unique.
I've never seen another like it before.
Even the leaves are different.
That's why I keep it in my secret security garden.
I keep it hidden away from prying eyes 
in my secret security garden.
For this page, I started by spritzing several colors of my handmade shimmering mists onto 90 lb. watercolor paper. Once dry, I cut circles from several different designs of security envelopes. I continued the same for the stem and leaves. I outlined the stem using a black extra fine Sharpie. I added the words, also written by hand on a security envelope that I then outlined using the same Sharpie.Thanks for joining Bleubeard and me today. We are really grateful you stopped by. Very creative use of an unusual textured paper, which another commenter explained to me was security envelopes. Our environment is so full of unexpected things.
