I'm once again joining Erika, who many of you know as BioArtGal, our host this month at Art Journal Journey. Her theme is Favorite Things.
I think we all want to be able to travel again once it's safe to do so.
That's why I'm dreaming of visiting some warm tropical isles.
I definitely want to do some Island Hopping, the title of this journal page.
I want to lie in a hammock that is 
tied between two coconut palm trees
or sleep in an overwater hut/bungalow that is built on stilts.
Perhaps you would prefer to spend time on the water,
or simply dip your toes in the sandy foam of the ocean waves. I want to do it all!
For this page I started in my new watercolor journal, I began by spraying some of my handmade shimmering mists on the page, then allowing the mists to dry. When dry, I cut images from travel magazines and outlined them in dark blue ink. I computer generated and printed the title of the page.Bleubeard and I are really happy you chose to visit us today, and we would love to also see you at Art Journal Journey with your own take on Favorite Things.

We are in a heat wave here - my dream is of ice floes...
LOL, be careful with that hammock-wish! I remember Cuba, 2006, I guess, Ingo was relaxing under such a palm tree when BOOM! A coconut crashed only inches from his left foot!
But, yes, I´m with you, oh, how I´d love to dip my feet into a warm ocean in the sun - without wearing a mask, too!

As you know, we love to travel and have sorely missed Iberia during all the Covid restrictions. As it turns out, though, we are moving to Portugal next month. I talk about this on my blog. Please stop by.

I am sure that many are dreaming of the day when they can travel again. I know that I am!
Seeing it is really really cold and windy today, those island photos are making me jealous I am not there enjoying the warmth of the sun and the beach. Fabulous page Elizabeth. Your background is such great colors and work perfect with these photos. One of these days I hope a little island hopping comes to be something easy to do again.
