Island Hopping

 

I'm once again joining Erika, who many of you know as BioArtGal, our host this month at Art Journal Journey.  Her theme is Favorite Things. 

I think we all want to be able to travel again once it's safe to do so.

That's why I'm dreaming of visiting some warm tropical isles.

I definitely want to do some Island Hopping, the title of this journal page.

I want to lie in a hammock that is 

tied between two coconut palm trees

 

or sleep in an overwater hut/bungalow that is built on stilts.

Perhaps you would prefer to spend time on the water,

or simply dip your toes in the sandy foam of the ocean waves.  I want to do it all!

For this page I started in my new watercolor journal, I began by spraying some of my handmade shimmering mists on the page, then allowing the mists to dry.  When dry, I cut images from travel magazines and outlined them in dark blue ink.  I computer generated and printed the title of the page.
