I'm once again joining Erika, who many of you know as BioArtGal, our host this month at Art Journal Journey. Her theme is Favorite Things.
I love to read, so reading the New York Times and eating almonds sounds good to me. Of course, I don't need glasses except to drive.
I love making handmade paper. I also love collecting scraps and stickers off fruit and veggies. A nice flower is fun to have, too.
I always enjoy collecting fortunes from fortune cookies. Some make perfect sense, some are silly. This one seems to go well with the image, too.
I started this page by laying down various colors of watercolors on a sheet of 110 lb. cardstock. To that, I added the various pieces I described above. I then computer generated the words and turned them into a quote bubble.
Bleubeard and I are incredibly thrilled you chose to visit us today, and we would love to see you at Art Journal Journey with your own take on Favorite Things.

Love this! Great "work"/fun/art.... FUN!
I´m tempted to join but have no idea where to start or how.
Off to the market in the dark, in -2C (brrrr) I´ll think about it - but don´t expect an outcome, my brain might freeze ;-)...)
A wonderful journal, I love that kind of you! The elephant, birds and your special head and the saying from the fortune cookie all go well together.
Have a beautiful weekend, hugs Elke
Wonderful journal page, you got lots of good things on your page. Have a great weekend, stay safe, hugs, Valerie
Lot's of great favorite things to see ~Fun page~ Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
This is so much fun! Once again, I like your background. Seeing the New York Times makes me want to subscribe. Holding a newspaper in my hands feels nostalgic.
I love this page. It is very artsy and meets the challenge at the same time. The phrenology head is great. I think when you show all these things you love it makes all that dopamine in your brain (sorry. geeking out). Thank godness for papers like the NY Times, for gardens, zoos/animals, glasses for me all the time, and handmade paper. And thanks for sharing at AJJ. Much appreciated. Hope all is well. Off to read yesterday's post as I never got onto blogs. hugs-Erika
What a great collage of your favorite things. The elephant with the big, red bow made me laugh. I love your cardinal stamps. I was trying to take a picture of the cardinal at the bird feeder this morning, but when I moved the curtain, it scared him and he flew off.
I do love how you use your favorite things! Thanks for the link you sent me Elizabeth. I didn’t know if you would ever see my comment on that older post, so came here to tell you thank you. I am glad you liked my card and punched items. But, I still can’t believe my card took three weeks to get over there! LOL happy Saturday!
Fabulous page Elizabeth. Great to see all your favourite things.
Have a good weekend,
Alison xx
