Destiny
This will be my final entry using Jo's Texture theme at Art Journal Journey.
In case you can't read the sentiment, it is: She wrote her destiny on her heart.
For the heart, I used two stencils, one gifted and one I created. Conversely, the heart became a mask in which I was able to outline the heart.
I used the same stencil to leave marks on the left page,
as well as on the sentiment.
This is a stencil on top of a stencil.
For this page, I began by laying down pale green house paint to cover the words on the page. When dry, I inadvertently allowed the pages to close while slightly damp, so they formed ridges on the two opposing pages.
For the left side, originally, I was just trying to get the dye ink off the stencil. However, when I saw how the patterns emerged, I decided to use both pages, which meant I could move the sentiment to the left side and leave the right side for the heart. I added the heart button, left over from a previous project, using E6000.
Thanks so very much for visiting Bleubeard and me today, and for joining us this month at Art Journal Journey. We also want to thank Jo for her great theme and wonderful journal pages she created this month. She was also a great host and we are so very happy she took her responsibilities so thoughtfully. We'll be back tomorrow with a new host at Art Journal Journey.

Beautiful, work and quote!
Lovely sentiment to go with your textured page and stencilled heart Elizabeth. Jo has done an amazing job during September. Hoping you are keeping well and looking forward to Octobers Art Journal Journal challenge.
Stay Safe Tracey x
A beautiful spread and lovely sentiment Elizabeth! I'm excited to see the new challenge tomorrow.
Best wishes, Alison xx
Elizabeth, love he heart and patterns on this! The words are so thoughtful and so true. We all really write our destiny in our hearts - what we write also controls our destiny forever. Love this - you really got me thinking. Many hugz!!!
Beautiful stencil Elizabeth.
Beautiful pages! I love the quote that you used and you depicted it so beautifully with the hearts and textures 😁. The contrast between the heart stenciling and blue coloured frame is gorgeous too! Thanks so much for inviting me to join you as Guest Host this month over at Art Journal Journey and for your kind comments! Take care! Hugs, Jo x
Beautiful spread Elizabeth
That little red heart button really pops of the page and makes a great mirror of the big heart. The stencil is great effect too. The whole thing works great. And looks fantastic. Can you believe that September is about over? Hugs-Erika
Lovely and the heart button is a sweet touch.
So much thought goes into your pages. Lovely hearts! Thanks for your visit to my new blog! Sorry you found me just gone, I messed up and deleted the blog too soon when I realized things were not working right with linking up. Pages in my blog settings were appearing, and it didn’t feel secure. I won’t be linking up anywhere going forward. It’s OK, my reading list works as well to keep me in touch.
I love these patterns :)
Oh a stencil within a stencil - that's clever.
I always enjoy when you make an unexpected occurrence into another design
(you don't make mistakes only serendipitious creations).
Looking forward to discovering the next challenge.
I do know how to spell "serendipitous" but my keyboard sometimes doesn't.
the right side page heart looks really nice Elizabeth !! ☺☺♥♥
Such a sweet and poetic message. I love the texture that the stencil gives.
I heart it:)
Lovely words and lovely art.
I do like the colours you've used and that little red heart button is a great addition too.
All the best Jan
This is fabulous Elizabeth - I love the words you have used too! Hugs, Chrisx
Lovely heart artwork.
I'm such a sucker for your heart work. And the house paint does give a lot of texture. Very nice!
I really like how this turned out, and focusing on the heart is always wonderful! Hugs, RO
