As some of you may know,
Bleubeard and I are hosting Art Journal Journey this month. It's obvious this month's theme is Hearts,
which today is represented by a Tree of Hearts. And because Try it on Tuesday's theme is Share the Love, we'll be joining them, too.
The tree is composed of
punched
paint chip samples,
to which I added dots using blue, pink, and white metallic gel pens.
For this page, I started with a sheet of 110 lb card stock, then used one of my favorite background techniques: 91% isopropyl alcohol mixed with a few drops of Staz-on reinkers. I then arranged the punched hearts to resemble a tree, where one leaf (or maybe a branch) had fallen on the ground. Last month I learned how hard it was for metallic ink to dry on paint chip samples, so had to be careful where I colored in the dots before they dried. You might be able to see where I messed up or where my hand got tired. Other than that, I'm fairly happy with this tree.
I'm really happy that you stopped by today. Your visits mean the world to me. I hope to also see you at Art Journal Journey and Try it on Tuesday.

That´s a beautiful idea. It shows to me you don´t have to have a heart to one single person but can build up love to share with others high up.
On a sentimental note I can even see my late parents and Grandma in there. My Brother and Nieces, too. On top, certainly, there is my Hubby :-)
Thank you for this beautiful piece, I feel great now! "Loved" :-)
Lovely page, great colours. You are having fun with showing hearts! By he way, the little girl with the balloon on my blog is a Banksy image! Have a fun day, Valerie
Very pretty heart, love the selection of colours.

Lovely hearts that represent who you are, and I love it! Sure hope you're feeling better. Very concerned. Sending some healing hugs your way. Here in NC, we're hoping to not get blown away today.(lol) RO
This is a fantastic idea to make the hearts into a tree. It got me thinking it could be a lovely memory tree of hearts as well, its a great inspiration page for your theme and I am thrilled you added this to TioT's as well.

Great idea, Elisabeth, although I did think you were speaking with a strong Irish accent for a minute - a tree (3) of hearts! Sorry, that's just where my mind wandered to...
Love the mixed shades, too.

Cute idea! Though to me the hearts look like cookies! I haven't had my breakfast yet.
I love the idea of using paint chips. The hearts are so pretty.
What a fun idea! I'd never have thought of combining heart shapes to make a tree, but it worked well. You have a good color selection :)

Really fun! I love the way you decorated the hearts too - it almost looks like stitching! I see I’ve missed quite a few posts this week and am going to catch up.

All the best Jan

Absolutely pretty made.... I love your heart month already!!!
LOVE anything with hearts and this is just beautiful..wow.x
Just delightful! The heart tree is a lovely idea (a little sad with the fallen heart, but such is life and love), and the background is wonderful. I love that subtle inky effect you've created with the isopropyl alcohol.

Beautiful heart pages! I love the colours that you used and how it resembles a tree - fabulous 😁. Thanks so much for joining in the fun at Try it on Tuesday! Hugs, Jo x
I'm a tad late with catching up on my comments Elizabeth, but I love this idea of the tree of hearts, it makes a fabulous page.

This way my colleague Wesley Virgin's report launches with this shocking and controversial video.
As a matter of fact, Wesley was in the army-and shortly after leaving-he discovered hidden, "mind control" secrets that the government and others used to get anything they want.
THESE are the same methods tons of famous people (especially those who "became famous out of nothing") and elite business people used to become wealthy and successful.
You probably know that you utilize only 10% of your brain.
That's really because most of your brainpower is UNCONSCIOUS.
Perhaps that conversation has even taken place INSIDE your own brain... as it did in my good friend Wesley Virgin's brain around 7 years ago, while riding a non-registered, garbage bucket of a vehicle with a suspended license and $3.20 in his pocket.
"I'm absolutely frustrated with living paycheck to paycheck! When will I finally make it?"
You've taken part in those questions, ain't it so?
Your own success story is waiting to start. You need to start believing in YOURSELF.
