T Stands For bEARTHday and more gifts from wonderful friends

This is a very long post, even for me.

I'll begin with gifts.  Could you guess this is from my dear friend Erika, who always seems to surprise me with her gifts of love and kindness.

Look at all these goodies.

Stamps, stencils, napkins, paper tape, images,

washi papers, a fun statistic,

and a big red heart doily were among the wonderful gifts she sent.

She also made this incredible card.  It's unbelievable and I love it.  Words can't express how grateful I am for these wonderful and thoughtful gifts and beautiful card.  Thank you, thank you, Erika.

As I was putting my gifts away, I also put all my Easter goodies away, too.  I found the perfect place for my new Rocking Horse sent me by RO!

It goes so well where the sun can shine through it.

These are from my foodie friend Sally.  The only reason I'm showing these is because I will use the shells in my art.  Her judge friend she visits volunteers at a Maritime Museum in MA (Massachusetts) and she picked them up there for me.

She also gave me this wonderful gripper I've been admiring on TV.  It apparently does several things, but if it grips and holds/locks without me having to continuously grip it, it will be a lifesaver and will add height to my 4'11"!

I also got this wonderful birthday card from Sharon (aka Foxy Stamping Sharon).

She admitted it wasn't a rocking horse, but Unicorns are magical and they ARE cousins to rocking horses!  Thank you for this incredible and gorgeous card, dear Sharon.  I would LOVE to know how you made it.

I know many of you saw this on my other blog last week.

You get a FREE GRAND SLAM on your birthday.

I got a "build my own" Grand Slam.

Poor Sally was such a trooper.  She really was still quite sick and it took all her strength to make it through the meal.

Sally ordered two regular pancakes, two scrambled eggs, two link sausages, and two slices of bacon for her grand slam.

I ordered two sunny side up eggs, hash browns, oatmeal, and buckwheat pancakes for my grand slam  We both had water, and mine had a ton of lemon, too.

As the waitress was removing our plates, she told me she was amazed I had eaten everything.  I told her I left a few buckwheat seeds on the plate.  Yes, I ate everything.  I had been looking forward to this meal.  Even Sally felt better after she ate.

T Tuesday links will only be open through Wednesday this week, because I will be using Mr. Linky links for Second on the 2nd this month.  That's also a not-so-subtle reminder to have your second look ready for Thursday this week.  It can be any post, any length, any genre, as long as it's one you have published in the past.

It's now time for you to share your own drink related post.  It can be gifts you received, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, mail art, junk mail, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.   Please link only your T post and not your blog in general.  Old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year.

Glad you are back to normal on your blog! :) You sure got some goodies! I am glad you liked your card, and I demonstrate on my blog how to do the technique today. I am not very good at explaining things, but just ask if you don't understand what I am trying to say! Your meal looks delicious! We never think of Denny's. Is there only the one on the West side? Happy T Day!

You received some lovely thoughtful gifts for your Birthday, you will enjoy using them.
The free birthday meal looked delicious. I think I may have needed a long rest afterwards to recover and maybe snooze a little.
There is no free meal offers anywhere here to celebrate Birthdays. Its a great idea.
It was good that Sally enjoyed her meal as well, even though she wasn't so well.
Happy T day wishes Elizabeth.

What thoughtful gifts from a few of your many friends, Elizabeth. I know you'll enjoy using those stamps from Erika. The quote she sent is great! I think the men would respond, "That's because the female form is more beautiful." But in reality, it goes back to the original statistic that more male artists are represented in the museum. I'm reading "Life with Picasso" by Francois Gilot. It's well written and very insightful. She was a fine artist in her own right.

I'd love to know how Sharon made that wonderful card as well. I'm glad you had a special bearthday despite the Blogger glitch.

Happy T-day! Eileen xx

Looks like you had some good birthday mail. I love the rocking horse from Ro and what an adorable card, even if it isn't quite a rocking horse. It works! And even better you look like you had a super yummy birthday breakfast. Yum! That is a good deal at Denny's; I wish we had them around us. I think eggs with pancakes it the yummiest. (Is yummiest an actual word?) Glad you liked the gift and I am glad it arrived on your bearthday. Happy T day. Hugs-Erika

What a thoughtful group of friends. Your gifts are wonderful and I especially love those beautiful card.
And your grand slam breakfast at Denny's looks delicious. I didn't know that there were any Denny's still open. All the Denny's that have been in areas we lived have all closed. Looks like a great way to start your birthday.
Glad to see that your blog is back up and running.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

beautiful and thoughtful gifts and cards celebrating your birthday. I thought I'd have gone through enough of my postcards to get some mailed to you for your day, but, alas it didn't happen. I haven't forgotten;)
That is some meal you had and so glad to see and hear how much you enjoyed it all! Happy T day!

Hi Elizabeth, looks like you had a lovely birthday meal and lots of lovely and useful presents too.

There used to be two Denny’s near our sons but now they have both closed although it did go downhill food and service wise towards the end which was sad as we used to go there quite a bit and you could always guarantee a good meal if we were traveling too. I love hash browns but the English version is slightly different to the ones you have over there, I love them both and always get double as Steve doesn’t like them so I swop his hash browns for my sausages.

Have a great day

First of all, I had no clue you were just 4'11, but I know you can feel my pain when it comes to reaching stuff in the kitchen or when shopping, so that gripper sure will come in handy from Sandy! On my birthday, I literally spend 3-4 hours zipping around town to get free stuff. I wish I had time to eat in, but a girl has got to keep on those rolling skates.(lol) I love Denny's and their breakfast and hamburgers. I'm super, super impressed with your homage to the wonderful rocking horse, and your collection is amazing. To see them together like that is neat. I'm thrilled that our new friend is among the others, and so glad you like it. Wow! What artful delights you've received from friends, along with some neat stickers and washi tape. I simply marvel that you know such artsy and talented people. Glad your day was special, and that you ate all your food! Hugs....RO

Your blog seems to be going normally again. I hope it continues that way.
Great happy mail for you! Lovely. Don't you just looove receiving snail mail! (I do)
Your new little rocking horse has found its place. It looks good there and I hope he like his new place.
It's so good to have a gripper. My mum has one to pick up things from the floor as she can't get there. I could do with one for things I can't reach. I have little stools all over the house as I can never reach the top shelf of anything. I have been known to use coat hangers or a soup ladle to hoik something from the back of the cabinet to the front so I can reach it.
Your gran slam looks yummy. It looks like breakfast to me. It is the sort of thing we would have for breakfast. Good old Sally certainly is a trooper. I hope she is feeling better now. (I should hope so).
We are about to go away until Thursday evening so I don't know if I can do a Second on the 2nd. But I'll try. Perhaps I can use my phone (oh so fiddly) but at least I get a better internet signal on my phone.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

Fantastic to get a free meal on birthday! Looks nice.
Happy T-Day dear Elizabeth and I hope you don't mind my lack of 2nd look on Thursday - I have so much to do here with my lovely brother and there is really no extra time for internet just now! Big hugs my wonderful friend!
