It's amazing how many free images there are on Pexels, and today, after seeing so many used by others in art projects this past week, I decided to spotlight butterflies.
I got a little carried away today. I hope you enjoy these butterflies I have chosen. Thanks for joining me and thanks, too, for your wonderful comments.
There's so many amazing butterflies and moths, isn't there? This is a great collection. Thanks for sharing. Hugs-Erika Oh yes, and how are you feeling?
Those are amazing photographs. Love the blue butterfly the best. I have an alphabet book where the photographer photographed different species of butterflies and moths. Each had a letter of the alphabet on their wings.
There is a quote I always remember, (though I can't remember who said it!). "In all of nature there is something of the marvellous." Butterflies are a perfect illustration - beautiful photos. Hope you are feeling a bit better.
Fantastic photos! Did I tell you that a hundred of caterpillars of the cabbage white butterfly have eaten away nearly all of my nasturtium and now wonderful white butterflies are here everywhere... they are just lovely!
Gorgeous butterflies, I would love to see some of these ones and the beautiful colours in real life. Hope you are on the mend and feeling a bit better today. Yvonne xx
I love butterflies and one of my happiest memories was a day I spent in St. Louis at the butterfly house as part of their garden system. Butterflies everywhere and oh, the biggest happy sighs! I love each and every one of these!

Bleubeard and I welcome you
Art, including the journey, background techniques, sewing on both paper and fabric, new experiments, photos, failures, and successes will be shared on this site. I have removed my e-mail address until such time as I can get it to work again. Thank you for understanding. You can always leave a note on my blog and I will visit you.
Please check out my Previous Collaborations link above to see what projects I have been involved in over the past 12 years. Current and ongoing projects only are shown below.
Occasionally, Silent Sunday will showcase photos of my home, neighborhood, or community. A picture is often worth a thousand words.
Feelfree to drop by every second Thursday of the month for my Second Thursday Tutorials. They are interspersed with my other Tutorials found at the link page above.

Click on the above image daily and help feed hungry dogs and cats. You can donate cat litter, too. You simply answer two questions (one about cats and one about dogs), and whether your answer is correct or not, you have just donated kibble to help feed both shelter animals and those in need.
I will create the art, critique things I feel are important, and put pen (and sometimes glue) to paper, or fingers to keys, while Bleubeard will mostly watch, supervise, or sleep.

I try to run the butterflies off when Monster Kitty is outside, since he thinks they're flying toys.
