Second on the 2nd: A composite post

For the first time ever, I am sharing snippets of four previous posts.  My friend Cindy and I are creating ICADs (Index Card A Day) again this year, and since she's the only one I know who is doing that (I'm not on any of the other social media sites they are shared on), I thought I would show what I created over the past four years.  You can find these and other projects I participated in on my Previous Collaborations page.

Summer, 2016

These were created in June 2016

and these are the ones I created in July, 2016.

This one was made on the final day.  As you can see, it was a wrap up of my entries.

Summer, 2015

I may have set myself up to fail when I put all these self imposed restrictions on the 2015 ICs.  I called it the 5 Ss: spray mists, staples, scraps, sewing, and stamping.  No glue was used during the 61 days.  These were made in June, 2015

and these in July.

This was my wrap-up piece for 2015.

This extra card came about because I created it on June 8, but lost it.  I found it the last day of the challenge when I was cleaning around my scanner.

Summer, 2014

In 2014, I forgot about the ICAD challenge, so was late by two days.  I made it up quickly, though.  These were from June, 2014

and these were from July, 2014.

This is the final card of the year.

Summer, 2013

This was my first year participating, and I wonder if I wasn't better then than I am today.   These are from June, 2013.  You can see I did a lot of stitching and created a lot of hearts.  I tried to follow the prompts for awhile, but, like many things, I simply didn't have anything that met the requirement, and I'm a terrible sketcher.

These are from July, 2013 and I even include a stamped and colored rocking horse.

For the final card, I paid homage to Daisy Yellow.  This was when she had links at her site so those of us who weren't on other social media sites, could share our art.

Now it's your turn to share a post that you have published in the past.  Any post, any genre, any artistic endeavor is acceptable.  Once you link, Bleubeard and I, along with other Second on the 2nd friends, will be by to visit.  Please link to your Second on the 2nd post and not your blog in general.  And thanks for playing along as we look back on our older posts.  Please be aware this link is only open for five days, so linking on the 2nd is preferred.

What a fabulous collection of ICADS you have made in the past couple of year. They look just wonderful together! I hope you will have lots of fun making them this time round, too. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie

All beautiful work and lots to look at Elizabeth.

Sorry to say I don't even know what ICADS are--blushing with embarrassment. Just Googled it and got a lot of blurb about the military

Have a great day

Love Chrissie xx

Oh my gosh --- you have created so many ICAD's during the years - absolutely amazing. I can even see a Ridgeback puppy on one of them...so sweet. I did hundreds of ATCs - even collaborating -JAM ATC swaps between 2010 and 2013 and I am sure I have learnt so much by doing this. This little artpieces are really good to learn !!!
I now want to start a project to get rid of all my scraps. I want to bind a
REMAINS OF THE DAY journal and started some pages, but I am not sure if I will complete this project and end up with a complete journal- since my perseverance for such complex projects isn't big...lol.
I totally forgot about the Second on the 2nd - sorry ELizabeth! Next month I will try to participate again.
Happy weekend to you!

I love how the grouped ICADs create a mosaic. Fun to see how the colors and shapes blend.

Wow, this is a very impressive collection, Elizabeth. They're lovely and clever when viewed individually. Seeing them all together made my jaw drop. I can't imagine completing 61 daily ICADS even once ... much less three years in a row. The year you used no glue was especially intriguing and the cards are quite ingenious.

i LOVE seeing all these index cards Elizabeth. I remember last years but it is great seeing ll the ones I didn't see before that. In 2015 you have a photo of a dog that looks like Maddie. That of course caught my eye. You certainly are good at these index cards. I love seeing the little snippets on them. And you yearly "rules" Do you have any for this year?

Oh gosh, Elizabeth, what a wonderful array of art.
You would know that I immediately homed into "Give Squiggles a voice" and I searched to see how you did that, and found one Icad with Squiggles on it. As number one fan of Squiggles, I would like to ask, did he do more, or did he decide that was enough?
Isn't it annoying when a favourite challenge abandons us in Blogland and goes to Facebook or some other place.
Anyway, I so admire this range of Icads and I think you must have had a lot of fun making them. I liked your idea of restricting the methods used to create your Icads, restrictions can be liberating.
