T Stands for Bionic Burger

It might seem odd that a vegetarian would stop into a restaurant called

Bionic Burger.  But, a few weeks ago I had an appointment across the street from Bionic Burger, so decided to give it a chance.

There really wasn't much on the menu I would have wanted, so I took the time to look the menu over before deciding between a grilled cheese and a chicken sandwich.

While waiting on my meal, I took a few photos.

The restaurant was actually quite busy, and as one table left, another was soon filled.  After all, it was lunch time.

As I said, it didn't take long for tables to fill.  My meal was 6 and they were up to 20 by the time I took a few shots.  Although I seem to have failed to show it, I had water, but they didn't have lemon.

I ended up getting the chicken sandwich, but chose grilled, not deep fried.

After I ate, I went to the restroom before leaving

and shot photos of all these wonderful vintage signs.

And of course, I had to get photos of every Route 66 sign.

I had to laugh because the Ex-lax sign was next to the women's restroom.  If greasy burgers didn't do the job, perhaps the Ex-lax will!

I laughed so hard when I saw this sign, I almost didn't get it in focus. And since I failed to photograph my water, this will have to do for the drink part of my post today!

I had more fun with the decor than the food.  It is a place for people who love hamburgers, that's for sure.

Now it's your turn to share a drink related post.  Feel free to discuss anything, as long as, in some way, you can relate it back to a drink, any drink.  Then, please link these stories below.  The photos don't have to be taken on Tuesday, and can relate to anything with a drink.  Please use the direct link to your T post, not your blog in general, so we can find you easily.

I would have enjoyed all of those signs too and they have a good sense of humor ;-) You have a nice array of photos.
Too bad they didn't offer a black bean burger or some kind of soy burger.
Even the fast food chain offers a soy burger.
Happy T Day E! They sure seem to roll around fast.
I can hardly believe it's May already.

I eat chicken once in a while, too, and tuna. So I guess I'm a 90% vegetarian.
That place sure has the most signs I've even seen in one place. Loved the drink coffee one!
Happy Tuesday. :)

It looks like a fun interior. How was your sandwich? I never heard of bionic burger (hope its not made of artificial parts like the old bionic man and bionic woman tv shows), but then sometimes these little local places have really good food. Happy t day!

Looks like kind of a fun place but I'm not a big burger fan either so I am happy to look at your fun photos! And ys, I say that fun coffee sign counts for the beverage!

What a great place! I don't eat burgers either, but as you say the vintage signs alone are worth a visit. I giggled at the Ex lax too. Love the one with the 1957 Chevrolet Belair. Classic!
Happy T Day,
Lisca

Love all those fun vintage signs-especially your coffee entry for today:):) Looks like a neat ole diner like place and the food must be good with so many people. Just too bad they didn't have any other meatless options-or even a basic staple like lemon...happy T day and thanks for sharing those wonderful photos!

What a fun looking place! Love the coffee sign. I've seen one that says,"Alcohol, because no great story ever started with someone eating a salad." Cracked me up.
Happy T day!

wow, I love the décor in this place! yes, definitely a cute sign about the coffee...and if I drink too much of it, that is exactly me! I probably would have chosen the grilled chicken sandwich too... My hubby and I have talked about taking a Route 66 drive cross country, but not sure how much of it is still "left." I think that would be fun...love all the signs in this place. happy tea/coffee/coke day! ;)

I liked the sign about coffee too:-) Thank you Elizabeth for the address you sent through Halle. I sent you a Spring card. Did you receive it? Wish I had your mail id. I was dying to ask whether you got it. Guess this is the only way that I can find out.
Have a beautiful week
