These are a few of the things I had/have in my Memorial Day Art Go Bag. My first stop this weekend, which started last Thursday morning, was a trip to my friend Kathy's. My art go bag was packed to visit her and sew, sew, sew scrappy journal covers after she helped me cut (and/or tear) them to size.
In the background are my handmade shimmering mists I used on ATCs and the background of this used file folder. I packed lots and lots of fabric.
And although I didn't take my own sewing machine, I used my friend Kathy's. The base looks very much like this one in the stamp, too.
I took lots and lots of trims. I wasn't sure which ones I would need, so I packed many.
I had a pattern of what the completed scrappy journal covers should look like.
I wanted to check out my friend's rubber stamps in case mine weren't appropriate for the final ATC I needed to finish by Wednesday.
Of course, I took a few of my own stamps, too, like the ones I used for this week's prompt number.
I had a sewing needle that I knew would be appropriate for sewing paper to paper. Of course, I broke it right off the bat! I covered the sharp end with glue. To round out the list, I have ribbons and a Krylon Silver Leafing pen.
You now have a good idea what I worked on while I was at Kathy's. I'm now elsewhere, so you'll have to wait for photos of the weekend. I want to thank my other friend who prefers to remain nameless for allowing me to use her scanner. Although I didn't include them as part of the list, I also used one of my file folders for the background and had visions in my head of the
Sorry I can't visit those of you who have graciously visited me, but I will be by as soon as I return home on Tuesday afternoon or early evening.
