Craft Barn's 22nd quotes and/or lyrics challenge
This fortnight, Craft Barn's 22nd quotes and/or lyrics words were Moon and Sensation. Some of you were here earlier in the week and saw my ISP is not working at the moment, so my friend and neighbor loaned me an old laptop computer that has no mouse. She also gave me access to her WiFi, but I can only use it when she isn't on one of her many devices. So I knew I had a limited time to finish this challenge.
I had an idea of what I wanted to make, even before I looked for a quote, because I have several rubber stamps I thought I could use that would go well with anything moon related. Of course, I knew I wouldn't be able to take step out photos because I can't seem to load PhotoShop on Sally's laptop, but I was able to get my scanner to work.
I began by finding the quote I liked, which is really part of a poem. I spritzed the background of my used file folder with three of my shimmering mists, but the colors were so nearly identical, they all looked basically the same to me. I cut a yellow moon sliver,
then spent a long time looking for my beautiful face stamp. I don't have that many stamps and it's one I use a lot, so I can't figure out why I couldn't find it after going through every stamp I own in the three drawers that hold my stamps. What I found was a moon that had been stamped by a swapper when I participated in an image swap one year. I cut it out and colored it with blue pigment ink.
You can see the poem is by Emily Dickinson, and this is the first verse. There are four more verses, but I didn't use them. I also show this is the 22nd entry.
One final look of my moon before I head to the link-up.
I will also be entering this in Art Every Day Month (AEDM) for Day 3,
and Robyn's Poetry Journal Monthly.
I also want to thank all of you for your lovely comments on my 21st entry. I was once again able to visit everyone, but still can't leave comments to those who are on Facebook, Flickr, or Fiona Spain who uses G+.

You picked a beautiful quote to go along with a beautiful illustration. I can see 3 colors of spray, and even though you could not find your moon stamp, this one was perfect!
A focus on moon phases is always a good idea, and you brought it to completion beautifully! :)
Really lovely quote
and piece you created Elizabeth in my favorite colors!
Happy November...
I have been cleaning out around the house and have been away from the computer alot!
Hope you get yours up and running again...I like how nothing can stop you from blogging though!

Glad you've found a way to join in, given your connectivity issues! love this page and how you've illustrated your poem.
BEAUTIFUL page Elizabeth, love the colours and the words. Love how you have interpreted the poem. Well done for getting it done despite your connectivity issues :-) xxx
One of my favourite poets - I have her complete works. Love the way you have illustrated the quote. Thank you for the advice you gave about printing - I shall have a go at doing it that way.
Thanks for stopping by, and it's good to be back.
Love the colours in this :)
Great quote and fab interpretation.
Love the colour combo of your background :)
I had the same problem as you to find my moon stamp. Finally found a set I got as a present years ago with a moon.
A quick start for you again, even with your ISP problems, WTG Elizabeth! :D Your background is beautiful and perfect for the moon stamp and the poem is beautiful :o))
Hello Elizabeth, so glad to visit you. Sorry about your issues still with the computer, I can feel your frustrations very much since I've been through it so much lately too. Hoping it works out very soon for you.

This is really gorgeous. The blue is so yummy and I'm glad you couldn't find your stamp, because the moon face is perfect.
Love your colors and the quote makes me think of the moon round here lately which has seemed most dramatic with our wild weather. xox
This is a great piece, the colors, the stamps, the quote go so well together. Now I'm going back to see the few days I missed here.

Message sent Elizabeth :) You're welcome (hug)
Thank you for your comment on my moon piece; the texture is wonderful. Hope you enjoyed the song :o))
Lovely poem! Lucky for the old swapped image that your moon stamp went AWOL, finally it has its moment in the limelight!
It is a lovely poem. and so is your page, great choice of colours too and yes I can see the three different shades too
Lovely, lovely - gorgeous background and that stamp is perfect!
Elizabeth, so pleased you liked my moony landscape. The moon wasn't difficult to do: I used a stamp (Stampscapes) representing the moon surrounded by clouds, then I protected it with a circle whilst doing most of the brayering. Lastly, I brayered again just to blend the moon in.
Thanks for your kind comments via Mo aka Twinkle Toes. Excellent that your like pink Floyd.
Fab quote and love the colours you've used.
Great work, fab background! I love the quote and the moon face is just right even though you couldn't find the stamp you were looking for! I have that problem all the time! xx
Just catching up with the Moon/Sensation-Challenge, really a bit late these days. Your page looks wonderful, love the background and the moon.
A lovely choice of quote on a fab background.
