Day 8 of 30 paintings in 30 days

This is day 8 of 30 paintings in 30 days where I'm linking to Leslie Saeta at Slices of Life.

When I looked at this piece, I thought it looked schizophrenic.  What little I learned about schizophrenia, I learned in a personality psychology class in grad school.  This mental disorder is often characterized by failure to recognize what is real.  It is often accompanied by unclear or confused thinking, delusions, hallucinations, paranoia, and inappropriate emotional expression.  You might see where I got the name, or you might laugh and think I probably display many of the same symptoms.

I call this one Schizophrenic and it is 8" X 8" (20,32 cm X 25,4 cm).

Thanks as always for your kind and generous comments.  I appreciate them more than you can possibly know.

I see a bird - not sure what that says about me. :) I'm not sure if I would say schizophrenic, or maybe frenetic? At any rate, it has a lot of movement and is very interesting to ponder

There is something dark and gloomy in this painting. It gets me thinking about the inevitable things in our lives.

So, this time I decided to study your painting before I saw the title to see if I saw the same thing. Nope! I did not see darkness in this image--I saw a mother (yes, probably a monster mother) holding her child in her hands. You can book my appointment with Dr. Freud now! :)

Catching up. Enjoying all your energy and creative activity. Before reading the title here I thought of a canyon in the mts. with snow and tall trees. Of course I've been in the mts. lately so maybe that is why. Nice whatever you call it.

Don't know how you do it Elizabeth... so many challenges and so much aRt out of your fingertips.... This one really has so much movement to it. I also see a canine, but more of a hyena type animal.

I like this one, so I don't know what that might say about me, but it is a dark, windy feels-like-rain day. !st one like this in September.
