Although there are no step-out photos, since I'm really ready for bed,
I chose the word Childhood and a quote by Malcolm de Chazal. I actually found another quote I liked better, but I didn't have anything I could use for the artwork.
Close-ups show the quote,
the author,
and the challenge number.
As always, my substrate was a used file folder. I printed the hourglass from the internet, then fussy cut it. I also printed the quote using a font called Neon. I used a Tim Holtz mask over which I spritzed two of my handmade shimmering mists.
Once again, I visited everyone for challenge 17, but can't leave comments for Fiona in Spain, or the gals on Facebook. Thanks for looking and leaving such lovely comments.

Wow, I was away in the land of nod when you posted this. Very impressed, not only that you have completed your artwork, but to have found your quote too. Love how you have incorporated the challenge number into the artwork too and your shimmer sprays are lush.
Do you stay up late so that you can be first post? I'm always amazed that you manage to produce something so quickly and that it is always fabulous too! I can identify with the quote as I'm sure most viewers can, lol. I really love the sprayed colours and I like how the two patches of red alongside the hourglas make it stand out. Nicely done as ever :o))
What a perfect quote! I haven't even started looking yet! I do love the mists you have paired together and, the images are certainly perfect, too!
Had to read your quote a couple of times to really digest it = good one!
You illustrated it perfectly E.
Happy Sunday!

I was going to say the same kind of thing as Twinkletoes, very impressed that you stay up late to get your challenge done straight away!! Took me all day yesterday to get time to do mine! Great quote.
Wow .. I love this...great quote as well Elizabeth!
Very nice Elizabeth! Seems that you really can't escape the theme of "time", no matter what you do. Lucky for us because you do it so well, but I know you said you were sick of it. :)
Hello, Elizabeth,
I love how you inked orange and pink and the clock stencil! It is a perfect mix!

Oooh fab quote and lovely page. How are you going to put all your file folders together? I would be interested to see what you do.
Thank you for your lovely comment Elizabeth, yes i agree about social networks, have enough with Twitter, blogs & Pinterest, don't need the hassle of FB & G+!
I cannot use PS but Craft Artist is mega easy, there is a free version you can download to try, i would urge you to give it a try. If you like it then you can get the professional version which has most of the wonderful extras & it is so much easier to use. Let me know if you try & what you think, i would be very interested in your opinion:-) xxx

Very true words and a great combination of items!
Love the graduation of colour, and such a true quote! You are always first off the block - how do you do it!
Lovely background and stencilled clock. The quote was unknown to me, very deep!
Lovely background and a great quote...love it! xx
That's a great and very true quote. A fantastic page. Love the colors.
A fabulous page Elizabeth, love those colours and very clever way of working in the challenge number. A very apt quote too - time seems to fly past just now! x
I love the quote you have used Elizabeth, and another wonderful background! xx
Hi Elizabeth, love your file folder and the quote. I just think time goes FAST. I hate to think how fast the hours will go as I get old(er). There don't seem to be enough minutes in the day. I am impressed how fast you put your entry together. I, as usual, am last man to the mill, unless there is someone going to cut it even finer than me LOL. The up side is at least I made it this week. Totally lost the plot for the last challenge. Am so enjoying seeing all your art. Hugz
Indeed the hours do pass far too quickly. Lovely colours you have chosen for your background to make another super page.
